Yes, he is talented...

…he is also the exact kind of person we DON’T want in NOLA: a “me me me” self-centered jack@$$.

Living in their home market, I get a lot of opportunity to watch him, and he has cost his team at least 2 games this season by not finishing routs and not fighting for balls.

If he wants out of Carolina, great, but the Saints already have plenty of talent on the receiver corps, and we don’t need a cancer like this pinheaded yahoo…y’know he sucker punched a TEAMMATE at a practice in ’08, remember?

Stevie, thanks but no thanks.

I'm with GSO

For the life of me, I don’t understand where Steve Smith has managed to pick up this “consummate professional” reputation. He takes entire games off…even entire playoff games. He has murdered the Saints in the past…but that’s just us. Other teams have made him pout and throw tantrums.

Let him stay in Charlotte. And I hope one of his teammates breaks his nose.

The Carolina team doc should take a close look at Stevie's ankles.

Might be some swelling there from jumping off and on bandwagons!

I'd...

take him in a heartbeat… With Drew Brees in charge of the locker room, I would never be worried about “cancer”. Remember all the supposed “baggage” with Shockey? Imagine Smith lined up with Colston. Teams would need two shut down corners, and even than, I like our chances….

All that being said, it won’t happen anytime soon, if at all.

Just how many times..

…did Shockey sucker punch a teammate?

Shockey spoke his mind, but he PLAYED every down to the best of his ability, no matter what. Smith is a prima donna jerk, he’s exactly what the media tried to make Shockey into, but he’s under the radar because NC is a small market compared to NY, where every hiccup is front page news on a dozen papers, 2 dozen TV channels, and 3 dozen sports radio talk shows.

Trying to compare the two is just insane. Shockey’s “baggage” was a media creation, Smith’s baggage is real.

No thanks.
