sean payton almost blows it....
Your paid to watch the Saints backs
I know it is alright to be kind to friends but Sundays favor almost cost us the game. Everybody knows how good of friends payton is with spagnano but that was stupid, payton called off the dogs in the fourth Quarter trying not to make rams look bad but it almost back fired on him and the Saints. If you dought what I am saying just look back at the game, instead of putting down the rams for good ,payton thought it would be good just to run the clock out and take the victory. If you think I am just blowing smoke look at these facts, Reggie was having his game of the year, so what does payton do ? he pulls Reggie out the fourth Quarter, then when it was 4th and 2 he brought reggie back in and handed the ball to our 2 week old fullback Kyle instead of screening it to Reggie who was wide open to the right, Look at the film Reggie was uncovered, then after we hold the Rams to 4 and out he ran the ball twice instead of letting Drew pass us for another touchdown,. Payton was happy with a 5 point victory to make his fellow coach and friend look good, all I can say is this shit has got to stop, Payton no matter how good a friend you got on the other side of the field, You must remember, he will beat your ass if you give him half a chance, You do not pay his bills and when it comes to feeding his family it is dog eat dog and your friend, the other teams coach will sell your ass out in a minute,SO NO MORE MERCY SEAN PAYTON.... If anyone has Paytons E-Mail address forward this Fanpost to him to let him know, We are WATCHING>>>>>>:>..

If Payton was trying to run out the clock, why didn’t he run the ball on third down with a little over two minutes instead of passing it and stopping the clock after the incompletion, which is what happened.

Bush
You know, I can certainly see an alternate reason for pulling Reggie out in the fourth. While he did spectacularly, why risk a fourth quarter fumble. I’m not saying Reggie would but I can certainly understand being a little cautious, especially when he had such a great game up to that point.

You know, when Lance Moore wasn’t getting every other pass thrown his way earlier, half of everybody was whining and moaning about how “obviously” PayLoo must be trying to drive down his FA value so they can sign him back cheaper next year.
Then Reggie has a great first half, such that even his harshest critics are saying “hmm, not too bad there”… and not one word about whether this is contract-driven?
Interesting…

I totally think it's contract driven...
the article is coming…it’s going to sound ridiculous but man it’s something to think about.
Don't worry I got your back cuz...

I don't think so
Everyone in the league knows who Reggie is, and what he’s capable of. Stats aren’t going to have that much effect on his free-agent value. He’s still going to be expensive, and it’s not because of his value as a player. He puts butts in the seats. He’s a marquee player and will sell tickets wherever he goes. Owners, coaches and agents understand that, and it will translate in his contract. Like it or not, that’s reality and that’s business.

don't think it'd be FA value
so much as incentives if it were true.

If you think for even a millisecond
that Payton was holding back because Spagnano is a “buddy” then you have never, ever, played the game. Both Payton AND Spagnano would expect nothing less than an absolutely total effort from each other. The Saints could have beat the crap out of the Rams and they would have given each other a genuine hand shake at the end of the game. This is professional football, not neighborhood Pop Warner!
Fat, dumb, and happy. Hell, two out of three ain't bad!
