Saints sign new WR to team
Despite an abundance of injuries on the defensive side of the field, coach Sean Payton and GM Mickey Loomis have decided to sign a new wide receiver to the New Orleans Saints.
The Saints held a quick tryout for the recently signed and previously undrafted WR out of Columbia University. Drew Brees ran some patterns with the new addition to our squad and was pleased with the results.
"He really surprised us with his ability to execute the slant," Brees noted to blogger Saintsational Dave. "Every time we ran it, the slant always seemed to go just his way."
In order to make room for the new addition, the Saints decided to waive RB Reggie Bush.
"Bush just never seemed to get things done during his tenure here," Coach Payton noted. "After a number of years, we elected to go in a different direction by replacing Bush with someone new, even if he is somewhat inexperienced. We think he brings a sense of hope and change to the team."
The new WR decided to take the previously unclaimed #1 jersey. As per his request, however, the Saints are looking to replace the numeral on his jersey with the words actually written out instead as "The One."

Funny!
I am ducking the inevitable heated political argument and/or heated Reggie Bush argument about to take place in 5…4…3…2…
I gotta say, I’m glad we got out from under Bush finally. I think we held on to his promise far too long, and what he cost this organization, not just in money, but in unnecessary negative attention, in boneheaded decisions(on the field), and in pointless conflicts(with Eagles, Jets, and Ravens personnel, and the Kardashians), the team will likely never recover. Of course, I doubt this new player will ever be able to deliver on any of his promise, either. With him, it’s all “teamwork”, and “sacrifice for the greater good”(with regard to individual stats versus unit production), but from where I’m sitting, it looks a lot like the same old shizz, just a different jersey. Kudos to the front office, for at least trying to take a positive step, though. I for one would love to see us stop dumping all these resources into offense, and start considering a more balanced distribution of funds.

I’ll admit Bush came up short quite often, but is this really the type of change we were looking for? Still, you have to admire that world class speed. Kenya believe this guy is an Ivy League product? At first, I thought they we’re going to sign Korey Stringer. Glad we won’t have to sweat that one out. Some type of injured reserve reform appears imminent … maybe this will resurrect Simoneau and Arnoux’s lost seasons(?) Hey, whatever works. All I know is, I’ll be wearing my # One jersey this Sunday and waving my throwback Oronde Gadsden flag. Don’t tread on us, Bucs. Don’t tread on us.

Really?
None of you got that he was talking about G.W. Bush? and replacing him with Obama was the way to go? Throw in a little analogy for video and it all ties in together Geaux Saints!!!
You mis-understand
Everything will be better with this new guy
We dont have to worry about ever going over the salary cap
He will re-distribute the payroll to the fans who really need it
God forbid they are asked to support their favorite team with out proper football apparel
And no more luxery suites thats just aint right that corp.get all the good seats no matter how much they pay for them.
And he believes the defense is discriminated against they never get to have the ball so from now on,When a team gets to the 50 yard lines it has to let the defense get the ball for a few plays
And that elitest guy everyone calls the quarterback he just going to have to give up some of them pads,He’s just to well protected
And who is this coach guy were does he get off telling the working players what to do we going to have to sit down drink a beer and see if we can straighten this out
I've always believed
The leader of any large and powerful organization should be a guy I’d want to drink with, first and foremost. Best-case, it’d be a recovering alcoholic I want to have a beer with.

well
The story was funny…but…those guys looked a little short and I wonder if they can get out of class to come to practice once in awhile and what about homework on a Monday night game? I’m not sure this is gonna work out better than Reggie at all….

I expected to see a chop block from Rush Limbaugh at any time!
Too bad they didn’t get “Pom-pom Pelosi” in the shot.
Good going, MPB. You got a rec on this one.

I hesitate to add this, but
I read the post and the subsequent stream inputs before I viewed the video. I actually thought the deal was going down and was trying to figure out who-the-hell the WR was. Then I started comparing post dates on this and the “Bush not going to Tampa” article. Did not compute. Only THEN did I watch the video. Boy, was my face red.
Your first post and you got me, you prick! LOL Kudos! I haven’t been “snipe” hunting in a long time. :-)

hehehe
Loved it.
But I fear the new WR will be too transparent and the other team will ….
oh nevermind that will never happen…

very clever
He only runs to the left, so Colston will have to line up right.
And even when he drops every pass and gets multiple penalties the state controlled media will report it as “New WR Shows Promise in Getting His Hands on the Ball” and " New Receiver Breaks ALL the Rules as A Great WR."
