That's horrible

I’m sorry he’s receiving this news. When you lose a parent it is extremely tough for the rest of your life. This just makes it worse.

suicide

First, I wanna send prayers out to the Brees family…

As for the game, I have to assume this has something to do with re-signing Chase Daniels.

Hopefully it won’t be a distraction to him and he pulls a Favre like where he played the best game of his career after his daddy died…

All things aside, I kind wish they’d rest him as as well as the rest of out starters during the 4 upcoming games we have against teams with winning records.

Our prayers go out to Drew and his family

How is it that the two best quarterbacks in Saints history (Drew Brees and Archie Manning) both had a parent commit suicide? What are the odds? How tragic.

This is OUR year!! Yea, I said it. Who Dat!!!

I think I saw it on ProFootballTalk

I have a bias versus those guys at PFT but hey I’ll do it if it happens again

A bias because PFT has a habit of being wrong?

If so I respect your decision

Cant take those guys (too) seriously...

And I was in emergency duty looking after the kids which seriously restricted my daily Internet allocation… . Beautiful…. lol

Seriously, it looks the news came out on Monday on the website of the Stateman (I guess is a Austin paper) and PFT posted it later on that day. My bad

I have a feeling Drew and his family knew this would be the outcome...

The timing and circumstances around her death all pointed to this tragic ending. I think he’s had 3 months to prepare for this sad news. I imagine Sunday’s game will be a welcome respite for him…
