This is good.

I like this move. Get those guys healthy for the stretch run.

Good call
Both players are expected to be back at practice next week, said the person, who requested anonymity because the team’s injury report had not been officially updated.

I’ll bet Payton is gonna be severely pissed that this leaked out. He doesn’t like having this information get out before he is forced to officially release it. He may go on a headhunting expedition once he returns to NOLA.

I like that these guys will have another week to get ready for the Pats, when they’ll be needed much more. I only hope Payton doesn’t trot out Sharper to return punts with both Reggie and Lance out. He said yesterday that Sharper would be an option for this. Since he is also recovering form a knee injury, this would be a bad idea. He’ll definitely be needed against the Pats, so let’s not risk him in situations like this in Tampa. I have to believe Payton will exercise better judgment and put Meachem or Henderson back there to return punts.

Is this why Payton hasn't been giving Reggie playing time?

Strange timing…he has his best game so far, and his knee balloons up.

I get the feeling that Payton all along has known something the rest of us haven’t: Reggie is not in good health, sports-wise.

Good point.

It seems to explain why he was MIA in the second half last week. I hope everyone heals up and gets healthy soon.

Forget the nickel and dime, you'd better bring a half- dollar to deal with this team.--Tony Moss, NFL editor
