A Prayer for Drew Brees Family
I am sure that a lot of us have read the article on Drew's mother.
Sometimes we take for granted that football players a people just like us.
Sometimes the media, and us can put a lot of pressure on professional athletes. They are subject to the same problems as we are, and sometimes their problems are greater in porportion than our own because of the media.
I for one am praying for him and his family to get through this trouble time.
I would encourage any one to say something positive towards, Drew and his family.
It does not have to be a prayer, it could just be some words of wisdom, or positive encouragement.
Once everyone is done, perhaps CSC could somehow send all of this to Drew to show him our support, as a person we care for, and not just an athlete.

To Drew
For a long time now you have carried the saints fans on your shoulders.
Now, we are presented with an opportunity to share the burden that you carry.
We will be your shoulders during this time, and we will share and open up our hearts.
We will pray for you and your family during this time.
God Bless and Goodspeed
a prayer for Drew Brees family
bless you and your family, Drew. We know you have your faith, but you also have your family, your SAINTS family and all the Saints fans where ever they may be. A devoted fan from oregon. God bless all of you.

Many churches teach that suicide is an unforgivable sin that guarantees a one-way ticket down, but that simply is NOT true. Drew, I hope you don’t believe anything like that and if anyone tells you that, don’t listen to them.
Suicide is an incurable symptom of hopelessness. Rarely is it committed for revenge or spite. The way the economy is going these days, many people are choosing ‘the easy way out’. This, too, is an inaccurate idea about suicide. If suicide were easy, there would be a lot more of them.
It’s been reported that you and your mom did not have the best relationship. Why is no one’s business. However, I would encourage you to continue to pray for her and continue to be the kind of man you are. Whatever you may feel about your mom, she is still your mom and had a hand in making you the man you are. Be grateful for that and appreciate the good things she did for you.
Our prayers are with you and your family.
The only thing worse than losing is not winning.

Drew Brees and Family
Twice in my life I’ve had to deal with cases of suicide, one had a happy ending the other did not. I also at times have had a strained relationship with my Mother. That said, I won’t even pretend to understand how your feeling about what your going though with your situation.
Please know this, there is nothing that the Saints fans and the people of this area will not do for you and your family. You have brought us hope, joy and pride. Since your signing with the team in 2006 I’ve been an unswerving fan of yours and I’ve been a fan of this team all my life. Your a true leader on and off the field. You have my respect and admiration for all that you have done on the field and in the community.
My prayers are with you and your family. May you all soon fine healing and closer in this time of trouble.
Here's to a fresh Brees blowing in NOLA!!!
An open message to Drew Brees
Dear Drew:
The Saints first game in Tulane Stadium was the same year I got my driver’s license. I was born and raised in New Orleans. Although I’ve lived in Texas for the majority of my life, New Orleans has always been home and the Saints have always been my team.
The first time I ever saw you was on a television interview shortly after you signed with the Saints and prior to your first game wearing black and gold. I don’t think it was on a sports channel; it was on a “news” program as I recall. At the time, any human interest story regarding the aftermath of Katrina was still considered newsworthy.
Regardless of where the interview originated, I remember how impressed I was. Rather than your athletic skills, I was most impressed with your immediate connection to the city and your belief that becoming a Saint was “fate”. In ways I can’t come close to explaining, I agree. I also believe it was fate.
Many things have have come together to put us in the position we now enjoy. The vision of Sean Payton was the first step, but you becoming a Saint is the the core foundation upon which all of our hopes and dreams are built.
I hope you lead our team to a championship this year and in years to come. The people of New Orleans deserve it. You deserve it.
However, regardless of how things play out………
Thank you.
Inspiration
Drew, you are an inspiration to us all. You epitomize what it means to be a leader not only on the field but in the community and at home. We all love you and Brittany for what you have given us and want the best for you both and your son. You are in many ways the face of New Orleans, Louisiana and the entire Gulf Coast’s rebirth.
Thank you for ALL that you do.
you as a man
Drew, i wish nothing but the best for you and your family in this time. While being a Saints fan and applauding everything you do for the team and the city, I want to say that what i most admire about you is the person you are. No matter where you lived or what brought you where, you obviously would be a good person that deserves the best in wishes and good thoughts. We are all with you and not for what you have done for us, but because of the man you are. We just thank God you are one our side. Rawk on man and know you have tons of prayers going your way.

Hey Drew—our prayers are with you and your family. Hang in there, friend…
