The NOLA Saints are rolling yet again with a convincing win over the Buc's in this weekends game, which all but solidified our chances of clinching the Division after an Atlanta loss.  With that being said we are 5 games up with 6 games remaining against 5 Conference/Division rivals left on the schedule.  (ATL, DAL, CAR, WASH, TB) 1 game huge game against the AFC (N.E)  The Saints will have a few huge pieces to the Defensive puzzle come back next week.  (Greer, Ellis) and Reggie should be back to play after resting for this weeks game.

We are 1 game up over Minnesota, yea yea the Vikings.....They have all but clinched their Division as well, but look at who they have played so far........ (DET x 2, CLEV, STL, SEA) Thats 5 of there 9 wins.  They have had there far share of easy games as well but the rest of the season spells   trouble for the Vikings they still play (CHI x 2, ARZ, CINCY, and NYG) so based off the strength of schedule things for 2nd place in the conference might be closer than they appear.  Also, Winfield should be back next week for the Vikings.

We are 3 games up over Dallas, who barely won this week but a win is a win! we know this motto all to well this year.  Dallas never performs well in December with Tony Romo so I am not to concerned with them.  They are not playing up to there standards as a team.  Roy Williams cannot catch a pass and Witten looks phased out of the offense as Austin is getting a bulk of the touches.  DAL play several key games heading into the last quarter stretch against (N.O, S.D, PHI, WASH, NYG) all those Division games should make them shake in their boots.  T.O is rolling again with controversy but the guy balls when he has all that attention on him!  T.O vs. ROY WILL? T.O any day.

Arizona is 3 games back as well andthey will win their Division easily.  Warner has rebounded well after a horrible 5 INT game.  There running game is rolling behind Wells (Who should be wearing Black and Gold) Fitzgerald and Boldin are doing what they usually do so life is fine for the defending Conference Champs.  They have a fairly easy schedule heading into the rest of the year with games against.  (TENN, MINN, SAN FRAN, DET, STL, GB) they might actually finishing up with a better record than the Vikings?

All other teams I will report on later.....

You are spot on...

I can’t say I agree with Beanie Wells though. I think it was LenDale White that said it best “Ohio State Sucks”. Sorry Will Smith.

Ricky Williams

Speaking of RB’s what would it be like if we still had him? WOW!

What are you asking in the poll?

Are you asking who will win the NFC Championship game? or who will have home field advantage throughout?

I think the Saints will win the Championship regardless of its location. But I’m not so convinced they have a lock on home field advantage. They have 4 tough games coming up – yes, including Washington. Their offense can’t score to save their lives, but they actually have a really good defense. Dallas is always dangerous, even if the game is December. And don’t forget that Panthers game in Carolina to finish the season. I’m sure they would love nothing more than to spoil the Saints season (other than actually making the playoffs, of course).

Minnesota’s remaining schedule is no cake walk, but I think it’s easier than the Saints’. They really only have 3 tough games remaining, and two of those are home games for them (Bengals and Giants). Chicago might or might not be a tough game for them, but I think the matchups favor the Vikings heavily.

i liked most of it

disagree about wells. We have Reggie, PT, and Bell. Wells would have to beat out Bell for the 3rd spot probably. I’m glad we got Jenkins. Could you imagine what could’ve happened if it was Torrence and Gay starting??

I also have to ask what you were thinking when you said:

yea yea the Vikings…..They have all but clinched their Division as well, but look at who they have played so far…….. (DET x 2, CLEV, STL, SEA) Thats 5 of there 9 wins.

especially after what all the other teams have said about us and our strength of schedule leading up to the games that we played. Good teams beat bad teams. That’s the same thing I’ve said to all the ppl that came over before games saying stuff about our opponents. I mean, if you’re going to throw that out there, who have we beaten? A Philly team that didn’t have McNabb and the Giants. Those are the only teams that have winning records. Atlanta and Miami are the next closest with .500 records. I don’t think strength of schedule means anything really, it’s about winning games and winning in the playoffs. I just have to argue that point after all the other teams that have come over saying stuff about our strength of schedule.

Superbowl bound!!!...I know! do you?! Go Saints!!

Clarity

If you win the Conference you win home field advantage. The poll should be open to all tagged teams so if only saints fans vote i cannot help that.

I do agree on our schedule situations. Any given sunday someone can come in and lay a beat down on us! Its how you prepare and play that team…….But I am aware that we have played some banged up teams PHILLY included but teams also have played a banged up Saints team!!

Washington is a scary good defensive team, but I dont think that offense can score enough to keep up with the Saints B team.

WHO IS READY FOR PRIME TIME?
