"We are just in the process of examining our policy on ‘dot coms’ as they pertain to viewing practice,’’ Saints spokesman Greg Bensel said Friday. "We are trying to fall in line with what the majority of the league is doing relative to ‘dot coms’ not affiliated with the team or league.’’

sooooooooo

Does this mean Saints fans are way to smart? Meaning we know football and are able to decifer what the Saints do in practice? I noticed the team web page was down for awhile. NOTHING gets posted on here unless I see it off there web-site first!

well…………Saintsational usually has it posted pretty fast as well!!!!

The Saints management is so antiquated and behind the times

Their website has improved a little this year but it’s still the worst website ever. Considering their access to NFL support and photos and information, I am consistently disappointed with how it’s managed. Of course you keep yourself separate but you are selling a brand! You can’t sell by hiding. The Saints are not loved for staying aloof and at arm’s length. They are the team of the people of New Orleans and of Louisiana and of the Southeast (F U ATL.) They need MORE interaction and news, not less.

Not supporting Saintsational is ridiculous. That guy has done more for the team than any other fan. And he does it all out of his own pocket afaik.

If it weren't for the "dot coms",

I wouldn’t get any Saints news. I live in rural Kansas. The next town over puts out a weekly rag once a week, with nothing but local “news”. I thank God for CSC and all the info and links it provides. Can I live without it? Yes. Do I want to? NO! I’m not sure why they would want to exclude something that gets info to millions of people.

Forget the nickel and dime, you'd better bring a half- dollar to deal with this team.--Tony Moss, NFL editor

Sounds like someone broke a rule

Not U Saintsational, but 20-30 min. of jumping jacks and Indv. drills doesn’t give the Play Book away ! I’ve worked in TV Production for 22 yrs. and cameramen, producers, directors, etc. know the rules, report the facts and form an OPINION. someone must have stepped over that line or the team thought they did. Mainstream media has a lot of resentment for dot coms/blogs and fan sites, some good some bad, but Dave yours is TOP NOTCH! My whole life has been about the Saints, just like many others we fans want all the info we can get especially on this Historic season they’re having. Who-Dat…….

It's just crunch time, and Payton wants to control everything he can right now

He can’t control whether we win or lose, but he can control some flow of information and access to the team, so he exercises it under the delusion that this somehow helps his team gain a competitive advantage. Whatever. I just wish it was Monday night already…

Ironic?

Or maybe not… I just find it interesting that this happens in the days leading up to a big game against the only NFL team caught flagrantly cheating by spying on an opposing team. Maybe it’s just coincidence, then again, maybe not….

just like...

the release of Kevin Houser coincided with his being responsible for losing the money of players and coaches.

We have all talked about the "distractions" that a 10-0 season brings.

Maybe SP is just trying to minimize it everywhere he can. Let’s see what happens after MNF.

Saintsational Rules

No other Saints site comes close to this one.

One day (hopefully A.B. – After Brees) the Saints will have a sucky year or three in a row and the Saints organization will be pleading to hand out news and access to the fan base, who will have developed a major case of apathy. . .
