Around SBN: The Ten Worst Swings Of The 2011 Season

Good god what a game!

Alright, we won another one, but crap!! We need to work on some rush D and keep coverage closer(read some plays)!!!! they were just killing us out there esp. with the outside run!

next we need to give brees a little more time, not a lot... just a second or 2

we also need to hope that none of our injured men are hurt badly!!

they played good, and dirty... just how we expected.  But we still won... we fought hard...

I don't know how many more times we can pull this kinda game off, it's getting later in the season people are wearing down, and... well  our offense was good, but not great... it struggled in 2 maybe even 3 quarters of the game.  We had no momentum.  Stop running the ball up the middle when it doesn't work... run outside!  they were weak there.

why do I sound upset? because I am a little.  We have to replay this game, in a few weeks, and NOT at home!!  We need to stomp them into the dirty ground next time we meet, not just 'skim' by with inconsistent playing

anyways, it was a nail bitter, and I love my Saints!!! WHO DAT!!

WHO DAT!!!

yeah I agree with you.

Payton should’ve downed it instead of running it the last minute. Drew looked good, he had a few errant passes but he’s not perfect. I don’t need to say much about the fumbles, lets see how much people get on PT and Bell for it. Nor do I need to say much about the 4 touches Bush got. I’ll have a post on that…

Don't worry I got your back cuz...

those fumbles were terrible

And Payton will see it as those guys shouldn’t have fumbled, especially Bell – not that he should have had Drew taking a knee on that last drive.

what about helment to helment blow on brees

it should have been personel faul on Falcons instead of TD if that same blow would have happened to Brady the ref would called personel foul and ejected player that hit Drew in head for fumble but the Home Depot Zebras awarded Falcons a touchdown never seen such one sided refs this bad before, falcons were holding every play maybe called only once…

You took my thunder…………….Great observation.

this game was definitely...'messy'

penalties definitely hurt us and a lot of miss calls on both sides of the ball. i think the saints have what it takes to win a complete game… offense, defense, special teams…EVERYTHING

special teams still worries me a bit. it was good to see jenkins out there, but our coverages are pretty bad. also, i hope our punt return teams work on setting up some blocks for reggie. everyone expects him to zoom past 8 defenders in a 5 yard radius of him. he needs a few blocks to get going, but i haven’t seen much for him so far.

I agree with all of you, I kinda thank the gods that are next 2 games are:

panthers then rams, then TB Bucs… these games will help us get that ‘beginning of the year rush’ back, only because, well these teams aren’t so very great this year… at all, and that will help our moral AND get that momentum swinging back in our favor!!

not saying we shouldn’t play hard, but… ya know…

One last thing, Turnovers, these should not have happened… one was brees(bad throw) thee other one in my humble opinion falls not to bell, but to the coach for not downing the knee… or this game would have been an 11 point spread

Carolina aint no pushover

They always play the Saints hard even if they were 0-7. Not to be taken lightly. We will also have a short work week to prepare for them. What you think ?

by saint-sly on Nov 3, 2009 9:40 PM CST up reply actions

Even worse

They’re 3-4 this year and trying climb out the gutter. They are definitely on a mission.

so were the falcons!

I don’t think it will be easy, all im saying is it may be slightly easiER lol, if that makes sense… it could get our confidence back… brees seemed hurried against the falcons, and threw at least 2 horrid passes… that i saw

but I agree with saintsly, it is a short week, and our boys need a good rest! I am confident in them though!

i also want to point out...

that right now, after this week of playing, the NFL teams are coming into theri own…
It isn’t a bunch of crappy teams vs really freaking good teams…

there is actually a middle section now… and we MUST worry about these guys (like the falcons)… they are under the radar predators(usually top 6-13), waiting a chance to knock a big boy out (top 5). Right now there are a few I can think of, but we all see the wins and etc.. so I won’t keep going.

I have faith in our team, I know if we just buckle down and get that ‘mojo’ back we’ll be at least 10 – 0 soon! I freaking hope!!

tell me that doesn’t excite you!?

its the o line

they need to man up and give brees a little breathing room. this is 2 weeks in a row that they are missing the blitz on pass plays. as far as the fumbles go i can forgive breefor fumbling the defender had a clean shot at him no blocking bells fumble is unexceptable he needs to protect the ball at the end of the game
