Brady
is probably salivating at the prospect of feasting on Gay. My guess is Jenkins will do fine, and it’s Gay who will be the weak link.

I wasn't expecting Greer to be ready, but I was hoping Bush would be good enough to play
I just keep saying “Great teams rise up and play over their heads when they’re injured…”
So let’s go show them we are a GREAT F&^%*ing team!!!

Are you kidding?
Greer. Losing our best cornerback is a huge hit. Losing our third-best running back? Not so much.
Super Bowl 44: "If you play in this league and it's not your goal, there's something wrong with you." -- Marques Colston
You mean the guy who has played his balls off in the past two games he's played?
The one who got some touchdowns that no one else on the Saints could have? Reggie has had his share of downs but he can really screw with the opposing defense. New England matches up pretty well against everyone but Reggie. This totally blows.
But more importantly, we need Reggie for the playoffs and we need him to be hot then….and not bobbling the ball or making other mistakes.
i just felt that RB would have a huge game.
plus his 5.0 ypc is better than mike bell’s 4.5. and he has 5 TDs to bell’s 4.
Yes, they are huge losses
I would much rather lose to an AFC team than an NFC team, but if we lose this, I’m sure we will drop in Power Rankings, but then again, Power Rankings isn’t what wins Super Bowls
Just when i thought
We could start counting on Reggie
Maybe this is why Sean Payton has limited his touches we need to win with out him he’s injury prone

Wow, everyone is injured?
Um, I don’t know how we can overcome these losses. It’s not like our bench was 5 people deep at every position.
I’m happy that Greer is out. It takes forever to recover from hammy injuries and I thought it was too soon.
But Reggie being out still is distressing. Is he going to be permanently injured now? I mean, it was just post-game swelling, right? I think the offense should be fine without Reggie but he definitely opens up the field some more. We need him for us to have our best team on the field.
I thought greer had groin issues
"In the end, the bread was in the pudding." -- Bobby McCray
Shop as usual, and avoid panic buying.
You're right about Greer
It’s actually a groin injury he’s out with. I’ve had one of those, and it took a solid year to heal. It’s the kind of injury where you can get back to 99% and in a half-second you hurt it just as bad as before.
Super Bowl 44: "If you play in this league and it's not your goal, there's something wrong with you." -- Marques Colston
Sorry 'bout that
hammy, groin …. either way they were bringing him back too soon. I really just hope he comes back for the playoffs. Your anecdotal info here makes me even more concerned.
his injury takes an actual year to heal...
i’ve seen it before, it’s gonna swell off and on for a while. I didn’t want him to play tonite because of it. I don’t know if he’s any more injury prone than any other back in my opinion, he just got an injury that takes a while to heal.
Don't worry I got your back cuz...

i hope mcalister or mckenzie surprises everyone and comes up big…we can definitely win without bush but the secondary has me worried big time.i hope greg williams has some serious chit dialed up to get pressure on brady
Remember...
Sedrick Ellis is back. That means no running against us, and it means a pass rush up the middle, right into Brady’s face. Our game plan, in GW’s words: “Knock them the **** out!”
Super Bowl 44: "If you play in this league and it's not your goal, there's something wrong with you." -- Marques Colston

And I’m betting Payton knew all along that none of those guys would play, and has the game plan to get the max out of whoever’s on the field…

i hope
big sed is 100% and on his A game…and i wonder if williams is going to put a corner on welker or get burned using linebackers like the rest of the teams the pats have played
I see Casillas is inactive
I WISH they’d coach up Casillas to be a hybrid linebacker/nickelback for situations like this. He’s one of the fastest linebackers in the league. He’d make an awesome safety some day…if safety was still a position of need.
Super Bowl 44: "If you play in this league and it's not your goal, there's something wrong with you." -- Marques Colston
Free agent from Wisconsin
This is from a pre-draft scouting report:
At only 6’2" and 226 pounds, many scouts will question his ability to hold up at the NFL level. He may be undersized, but Casillas makes up for this with blazing speed at the position. Wisconsin officials say he has unofficially run the 40 yard dash in the low 4.4 second range, a time that many defensive backs would envy. He is a solid open field tackler, and has the speed to run down backs and receivers from behind. Casillas is at his best in coverage, where his speed and instincts allow him to make plays. He can cover tight ends and running backs with ease, and is excellent in zone coverage…

Gregg Williams extra motivation
On ESPN, they just reported that in 2007 when the Pats ran the score up on the Redskins, it wasn’t really a dis on Joe Gibbs but on their DC Gregg Williams. They said the Pats confirmed that they were trying to stick it to GW after he had beaten them the year or two before as head coach of the Bills. Ya think GW remembers that and is probably out for revenge? I do.
Also, with Greer out, I’m more than a little nervous. I hope the D exceeds my lowered expectations tonight.

Couldn't have asked for a better first half
The whole is on notice, we are a force to be reckoned with!
Can't complain about that first half
And the eighth and final rule: if this is your first time at Fight Club, you have to fight.
What a team! This is our next year!
Look out! Right through! The kick blocked by Steve Gleason! It is scooped and scored by Curtis DeLoatch! Touchdown, New Orleans!

Long way to go
Got 30 more minutes against a top rate team and they get the ball. So, I’m trying to stay relaxed…still, impressive first 30 for NOLA!
"Drew Breeeeeeeees!" "Oh, yeah."
But seriously, John Carney sucks
He’s made an adventure out of PAT’s and that short FG earlier. It’s no wonder that they just took a knee on that last possession. Might want to take another look at Hartley.
"Drew Breeeeeeeees!" "Oh, yeah."
My brother was right, the Saints receivers almost never miss catching a Drew Brees pass!

That's because Drew throws such a nice ball.

How about that catch by David Thomas…..so much depth makes it hard to swim to a win on the Old Mississippi River Boyz
