CAR vs N.O in our house
I have been doing my weekly research of the up coming game, and yes I think they are a threat, everyone in our division is a threat. but... I know, it's a little basic to see who our opp. has won against. But I think it says a lot about them
games CAR has played
*Eagles- loss 10 - 38* we won vs the eagles 48 - 22. We creamed them, maybe nabb wasn't in, is what did it..
*falcons- loss 20 - 28 we won against them too! 35 - 27 not a pretty game but a WIN too bad they lost to them
*cowboys- loss 7 - 21* cowboys? they aren't so hot this year off and on at best and they still lost to them
*Redskins- win 20 - 17* well since I live in D.C. all i have to say is, wow... what a show of power... we will see how bad they get beat on the 6th of dec. (the game i'm going to!!)
*buc's - win 28 - 21* I don't think I need to say much about this one other than #32, I'd put them at 33 behind the future London franchise
*bill's - loss 9 - 20* beat them too... 27 - 7 tore them up we did... it looks like they lost to them too
*Card's - win 34 - 21* we haven't played them but according to espn they were the weakest of all the div leaders and were expected to lose.
Now I am personaly expecting a closer game than what the bidding sites say -14 underdog. I think that *only*because it is a div game. they want it, bad. But I am reminded of how we want something bad too... and we have wanted it for so damn long! almost got it a few years back...
I am also wondering if their team is a little over hyped due to the lack of good teams they have played? I mean any team can have their stats bumped up because of playing bad teams... with bad O & D squads...
any thoughts on that note?
any thoughts on the X factor of this match up?

They won't win here
but being that it’s a division game, they, along with the Falcons, will be tough to beat at their homes. They’re already tough to beat being in our division. We should actually win this game easily though. I think it’ll be a bit like the Philly game except we’ll be up by 14 at the half and add to the difference in the second half but it’ll be kinda close in the 1st half.
Superbowl bound!!!...I know! do you?! Go Saints!!

Turnovers
The game will be decided by turnovers. The Saints have to stop giving the ball up.
The people who say, "Winning isn't everything," don't win very often.

This is a game we should win
The Panthers are building back up into their usual selves, and our rushing defense worries me greatly, and 8 turnovers in 2 games is ridiculous, and the Panthers have had very little trouble in the dome historically.
But I have to imagine our O-line and Drew himself have got to be ready to figure out a way to avoid the beatings and turnovers they’ve allowed recently by now, and Carolina’s QB pressure is not as profound as it’s been in previous years. Our rushing offense should worry them greatly, as they’ve given up pretty big numbers to lesser teams on the ground. I think the Saints are the better team over all. Actually, I’ll just say that’s a stat-supported fact. And the Panthers may be good in the dome, but so are the Falcons, and so was Eli.
It does worry me that New Orleans has played some of it’s worst football at home so far, but the Saints’ worst football is pretty damn good this year, and I think Carolina will have to play it’s best to go along with our worst to win this. Also, that hasn’t been a constant. The Giants game was an all-out beating, and, even if the offense falters at home some, the defense seems to thrive on the 12th man. Finally, the Saints need to win divisional games at home. If they lose this, they’ll have to win at Carolina. The way things are going right now, that may be the easier game of the two, but hopefully, by then, it won’t matter at all how the Saints play. Of course, letting the Panthers walk away with this game would go a long way towards making week 17 matter to the Saints.

Pardon me
Eli is(was) good in domes, not specifically THE dome.

I kind of think that Payton is a good indicator of what that kid from Malcolm In The Middle will look like in his forties. I pity child-actors…

Turnovers
The Card’s had 5 turnovers in the Carolina game.
Carolina only scored 34 points that entire game, even with the turnovers.
Card’s stil managed 21 points with all of their turnovers, not to mention some 3 and outs in the game.
Lets see here, hypothetically if Carolina was +5 and Airzona was -5 on a turn over ratio and the point difference between them was only 13 points, I would say that Carolina, Offense is sup par at best, and defensively are horrible at preventing scoring

Hey DW, I have tickets for the Skins game also, maybe we can hook up for pre-game. I went to the "we can’t convert a 3rd. down game last year, and got some good pictures with some of the team after the game, see my avatar. If the Cards had a running game, it would have been a different story last week. Carolina’s defense might as well have been playing golf, the way they were teeing off on Warner.

Sooooo....
Kind of inviting myself if that’s cool, I live in Virginia Beach and will be at that game too.

that's real cool
We will be in one of the RV areas. Last year some of coach Payton’s family, from Pa. was parked next to us. Their RV was done up in all things Saints. We really had a blast with them. That was before we couldn’t convert a third down to seal the deal. And the whole time Deuce was standing on the side-lines. But I digress. The photo that I have posted, with Deuce, was taken after the game last year.

Once again, I'm reminded that great teams rise up and
Defeat teams that traditionally (or at least lately) give them trouble. If we beat the Panthers at home, snapping our 7-game Dome-losing streak to them, not only are we 8-0, but I will also feel more strongly that “this really COULD BE OUR YEAR!”

Who DAT!!
We still need our Spec teams to be consistant. Less penatlities we should be fine.

I little John Fox history
Since he’s been in Carolina, he has been notorious for rallying his team when they start slow. For example…
In 2004 the Panthers start 2-6 after losing their top WR and 2 top RBs. They then rally and win 5 straight and finish the season 6-2.
In 2007 they started 4-7 after losing Jake Delhomme and later Vinny Testeverde. They end the season going 3-2 behind a 4th string undrafted QB!
Now remember this is the exact same starting team, minus one guy, that beat you twice last year. Even though it is unlikely the Saints lose… Don’t think the Panthers can’t rally again.

crap anyone can rally in a game,
the question is: is it enough?
falcons rallied… not enough
MIA rallied… not enought, err for long enough

What I said had nothing to do with rallying in one game.

Your right
The panthers have the exact same team minus 1 guy,But the saints are a different team with different attitude and different coaches

The difference is you went from having a bad defense, to an average(15th) defense
And an average defense is enough win a lot of games when you average 39 points. I think you’ll take the NFC South, but I don’t think you’ll go 16-0. How bout this… I will cheer for you guys to go 14-2. 1st loss today, the 2nd in Carolina ;)

today our Defense held true
our defense only aloows on average 22 p/pg
offense? 39p/pg
D is clearly ok for now(stuff to work on, but who doesn’t)
our O needs to get better momentum and earlier!!
