Is it just me or
do any of you have the same problem I'm having this year? I love my Saints and always have, but I am generally rooting for them to be the spoiler or to just break the .500 mark. I have also considered them very entertaining even when they were losing or almost winning only to have it snatched away at the last minute. I love whats happening this year just as much as the rest of you but some how, something is missing. I can't discribe the feeling but I do realize this is uncharted territory for me as well as the Saints. I don't know if it's the fumbling bumbling Saints of old that I miss or the way they gave away games and could not recover or what. I guess I kinda knew what to expect out of them for years but now I'm finding myself scared to death I'm gonna wake up and find out It was all a dream. Is this really the Saints or am I just condemed to an overly active imagination in my old age. This just has not happened in the 43 years I been watching the Saints and I don't want to wake up. I'm scared if I do, I 'll see Danny Abramowitz running into a TV camera on a pass route or a bad snap sail over Russel Erxlebens head into the end zone or a 45 yard fumble backwards. Damn. those were the good old days. If tomorrows game goes down to the final seconds and I see many latterals with the last one going into the end zone and then miss the extra point, I'll know....................I'm outta my mind !!!!!!

I feel ya
I see where your coming from. I feel like a Red Sox fan right now on the cusp of something great. I felt that since the season started i just know we were going to do great this season.

I'm worried about being let down again too.
I feel ya. They are still the Saints afterall. I could see them going undefeated all the way to the Championship game, then losing due to some fluke Saintsesque play. That would crush me. Probably why I’m not enjoying it as much as I should,

Yes lord
I feel like I’m sitting on a Razor Blade and if they (Saints) implode, I will be cut in half. Past years I knew what to expect so I could control my nerves but this year………..I don’t know what to expect and my nerves are frazzled. I cannot sit still in my recliner and I’m eating a whole pack of smokes during the game and it’s getting worse every game. I will fear for my life in about four or five games from now. I guess the Patriot game will finish me off. I always said I would love for the Saints to win a Super Bowl before I die. I just didn’t figure being put on life support during the run.

Are you confident..........
and at ease ? If so, your a better man (or woman)than me. I know we are better than Carolina this year but…………Carolina always plays us hard and gets the breaks.

The scare the saints got last week woke them up i believe they come out and manhandle carolina all game long .I dont think we will ever be threatened in this game

I did not see it that way
because I never was an Aints fan and I hope your wrong. I would never wear a bag over my head for my team. I just want a 16-0 season and a Super Bowl win. Best medicine for my ailments.

It ain't just you!!!
I think any long time Saints Fan remembers all too well the gut wrenching feeling of losing games we should have won and winning games when nobody gave us a chance. The Saints have always been the team everybody hates to play because they never knew what to expect on any given Sunday. Well, the Saints didn’t know what to expect either and it made for some mighty entertaining football. But that was when we didn’t expect too much from our team.
This year the rug has been pulled from under us and we are facing the reality that “it” might happen! In ‘91 the Saints were all defense, with the offense trying desperately to keep up the pace. This year??? We seem to have all the pegs in the right holes and, as saint-sly said at the head of this stream, "I don’t want to wake up." (Suddenly I hear “The Impossible Dream” playing in the background!!!)
I guess my plan for the remainder of the season is to hold on tight ‘cause, boys, one way or the other, it’s gonna’ be one hell of a ride!
Fat, dumb, and happy. Hell, two out of three ain't bad!
