It's called 8-0 Who Dat's!
Since I was born in 1970...I have been a Saint's fan. I've seen it all, the high the lows. I was there when we beat Dallas on Monday night. Thank you Brett Perriman and Morten Anderson. I was there when we beat the LA Rams in the playoffs in 2000. But this start makes me smile, it brings out a joy I have not known. Thanks you the 2009 Saints for you have made history and you have made me the proudest Saints fan in history. Keep it up and we all will be parting in Miami this yea

I think you will be
a part of a very large crowd that also considers themselves the proudest Saints fan in history. I know I’m one of them and I been watching for 43 years. I love it!!!!

And
they will have swollen ankles from jumping on and off various bandwagons!
The true Saints Fans are the ones who have endured the ups and downs – without bags on their heads!

I've already been called....
a bandwagon jumper! I said how can I jump on the bandwagon when I’m driving it? The thing is, if you don’t live in New Orleans and you are Saints fan (as I have been my entire life), be prepared for the name calling and false accusations. hey, as fans we have been many places together, the “ian’ts” “bag-heads” ugh, Katrina… Running back in a wedding dress, a certian Manning scrambling for his life, and the line-backer core that put fear in offenses. Heck, before all the records set the last few years, we were known as the team “that had that guy that kicked the longest field goal ever with half a foot.” Enjoy this brothers and sisters of Saints Nation, enjoy this.

You obviously know what I'm talking about.
Ahhhhh, Tommy with the square shoe! I saw Alex Karras on the Tonight Show (with Johnny Carson) the week after we kicked the game-winning, record-breaking field goal. Alex was a riot! He said (basically) “Our defense just sort of let up because we wanted to be able to see this joke. The ball took off like a rocket and never landed. Some of us fell down pretending we were blocked!” I laughed my ass off!!!
Alex was “Mongo” in “Blazing Saddles” the guy who knocked the horse out with one punch!
Good stuff!

It’s one of those days that you remember where you were when Dempsey made the kick. I was in Pensacola, speckled trout fishing, and watched the game on WRAL out of Mobile. I remember Karras saying that, and I also remember Billy Kilmer being interviewed after the game and assuring the reporters that we would finish the season undefeated. I dont
think we won another game that year. But that was a great day in Saints history.
