The real Black and Gold...
I just need to say that the Saints are the real Black and Gold. I had a conversation with a friend yesterday...He said something like 'when the black and gold get to the playoffs, you'll see a real finish'. At first I thought he was talking about the Saints. Nope, he was talking about the Steelers. He is a Steeler fan and claims the colors are black and gold. I disagree... Steeler colors are black and YELLOW. It's hard to imagine two grown men arguing for a half-hour on the color of a football jersey. But, I've always thought of the Saints as the Black and Gold. And someone claiming those colors for another team pissed me off!!!
Carry on.

On the other hand...
…we did steal their single broad, black stripe on the pants. But they’re gold pants.

Should have kicked his ass.
Period.
(And what’s with the “terrible towels?” How can a towel be “terrible?” Sounds like a stretch for something clever to say! I guess it’s pretty hard to be profound when you’re from the Pitts!)
“Ya’ load sixteen tons and what to you get?” Old timers will understand this.

another day older and another day deeper in debt
Don’t rag on the steel city my man. As much as I hated the Steelers when I was a kid, I ended up living in da burgh for 10 years. Got to be a Penguins fan, and even went to a couple of Pirates games (talk about depressing). Also, It might be hard to believe, but there’s actually a lot of really good food there too. Nothing like New Orleans and San Francisco, but still pretty good. Lots of comfort food.
Rag on the Steel City? Naw, most of them are decent hardworking folk who deserve respect in just about every area (except of course their dedication to the Stoolers).
But rag on the Stoolers? In a new york second. And all day long if possible. One of the dirtiest, cheating-est, cheap-shot-artist-est, etc. teams in the history of the league. A bunch of bastards that I utterly despise and wish weren’t anywhere near as good as they unfortunately are.
Pittsburg also went over 40 years without a championship
until Terry Bradshaw arrived. Had to take a Louisiana product to get them rolling. Come to think about it, so did Carolina.
well
i know that if you put some disease or poison all over the towel and threw it on me, i’d say it was terrible but I don’t think that’s why Pitt calls it the terrible towel :P
Superbowl bound!!!...I know! do you?! Go Saints!!
