Watching Something Special

Hi everyone at CSC.  CBF here from over at Buffalo Rumblings.  I came over because I want to tell you guys how incredibly impressed I have been with the Saints this season.  You guys really have something special going in New Orleans, and I'm not talking the every year, one team gets going special, I'm talking 2007 Patriots special.  There have been more Saints games aired in Canada then Bills games this year, so when I can't watch the Bills I watch you guys, and man, what a show.

As a Bills fan I hate the Pats, but even i have to admit that I watch almost every one of their games in 2007 because I knew I was witnessing something special that might not happen again for a very long time.  Well I was wrong,  because what I saw last night, and all season long, can only be described as a conteder for the best team of all time.

The Saints are the embodiment of what a great team should be, unselfish, and all working together in order to dominate every aspect of the game.  I can't tell you how impressed I am with a team that has no outstanding stars beyond their QB, and how well you have been playing as a unit.  You don't have a single back that is on pace for a 100 yards, but you have two running backs that are on pace for 800+ yards season and a third thats on pace to a 400+ yard season.  You also only have one WR that on pace to a 1000 yard receiving seaon, but have 4 more that are on pace for 600+ yards receiving.  It just stuns me to see exactly how much of a team effort that the Saints are putting forward.

Your also a team that is continuously looking forward to improve themselves.  I mean you had a formidable secondary, but still went out and signed both Mike McKenzie and Chris McAlister to make you that much better.  Also inhansing your already increadible debth.  It amazes me how you can take out any one player (except for Drew Brees) replace him with another, and not miss a beat.  Truly a mark of champions.

I've alsways been a fan of the Saints, one of the biggest underdog teams ever (I'm a Bills fan, so maybe you can see a patern there ;-)).  So since my Bills are in the tank, I have to say that I'm really rooting for you guys.  Here's to the Saints, here's to an undefeated 2009 season, and here's to the 2009 Superbowl Champions.

Go Saints! (and go Bills!)

Pettiest thing i’ve seen all year.

And i really am hoping for the Saint to win it all this year. Us small market teams have to stick together.

nice

Patriots safety Brandon Meriweather was asked, word for word, "What happened on the long touchdown?"

Said Meriweather: "Which long touchdown?"

I had to rec it.

This was a great, feel-good article. But hopefully the Saints don’t “eat the cheese” after this win and throw up a stinker against the ’skins.
