Wow! SF75. Good point!

I hadn’t even thought about the fact that I had quit cigarettes about 1.5 years ago. And, I didn’t shred any wallpaper to smoke or mow the lawn to smoke during those nail-biter games this year. Wow! That must mean I’m safe!

Nakia Hogan reports the Saints/Falcons inactives on nola.com
Bell, who suffered from knee soreness last week, will miss his third game of the season. He joins kicker John Carney, cornerback Jabari Greer, cornerback Tracy Porter, cornerback Marcus McCauley, linebacker Marvin Mitchell and linebacker Scott Fujita.
Receiver Lance Moore is dressed, but he is listed as the emergency quarterback so he likely will not play.
Meanwhile, Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan and running back Michael Turner are among the Falcons’ inactives. The others are guard Harvey Dahl, tight end Jason Rader, receiver Brian Finneran, defensive tackle Trey Lewis, cornerback Chrius Houston and fullback Verron Haynes.

one of the

comments on the nfl network board was saying that they hope the falcons fans don’t start rooting for the Saints because the last thing the Saints need is home field advantage in the Georgia dome. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the falcon fans did cheer the Saints cause the falcons are not going to make the playoffs, why not cheer for another southern team. The Saints and the Falcons go way back, but I am not sure if the fans would crossover like that

by xen-cuts on Dec 13, 2009 11:44 AM CST up reply actions

It could be that

The Saints just need to win one more game to secure a first round bye. I’m guessing rather than resting all the starters at once, it’s going to be phased. Bell probably would play today under most circumstances, but I don’t work for the Saints so I couldn’t tell you for sure if that’s the case.

Brees gonna throw down the Saints... Wide open Devery Henderson! Nobody's within twenty yards of him! He could do the backstroke into the end zone from there! And he'll take it in for a seventy-five yard touchdown strike!

ratings boost

Evidently networks are experiencing a ratings boost for Saints games. The networks that carry the Saints games are getting like a 46% increase in their viewership. Something like that anyway, I think that is why more stations have been showing the Saints games when the local teams are not in the same time slot

The bright side....

Maybe we’ll start going for 2 on TD’s…

That’ll get our average up, and not to mention some extra red zone practice.

Did Aikman just say Hartley is in a slump?

He was 4/5 on the year, and the only one he has missed was 50+ yards. and 4/4 on extra points on the year coming into this game

I'm not entirely sure football players are that familiar with the idea of research.

Brees gonna throw down the Saints... Wide open Devery Henderson! Nobody's within twenty yards of him! He could do the backstroke into the end zone from there! And he'll take it in for a seventy-five yard touchdown strike!

I don't think they ever showed it, but with the way SP reacted, you have to figure the PF was deserved.

This is the worst game the Saints have played all year. Vilma saved them from a loss to a team without their two best skill players.
