Great Brees Article from NYT Archives

There certainly is no lack of material from which to build the Drew Brees legend. Check out this article which offers some keen insight to 9's brilliant comeback after his worst year as a pro with the Chargers.

I still CAN'T believe how fortunate we and the Saints are to have this guy. I wish I was back in N.O. to celebrate every Sunday with y'all. God, I miss my old season tickets; I hope you're enjoying them, whoever you are.

Awesome!!!!! seconded

I live in SD, moved here about 10 years ago and even though I never followed the chargers I still heard about that year they went 12-4 with Brees under center from all my friends that are SD charger fans….They all gave me shit when he hurt his shoulder and we picked him up saying he was done, but I went back and watched some film of him and all I could do was say “Who Dat!” and thank god we picked him up…. The dude is a machine and he is OURS!!!
