Really
good to see Porter and Moore might be back this week. Hopefully Ellis, Stinchcomb and Shockey will be well enough to practice thursday and friday and play.

Our team is pretty banged up.
I don’t expect Tracy Porter to be back until the Carolina game. Sedrick Ellis, Jon Stinchcomb, Jeremy Shockey will play against Dallas, imo. Lance Moore will play too
Hartley is now hurtley?
What’s up with that? His right hipley hurts?

OMG INJURIES!!!
I didn’t even realize most of these people were injured. Other than Brees and Vilma, who is playing at the ends of Saints games?
Moore and Porter
Moore will be active this week probaly on like 15 snaps but Porter will not be back. He is just getting his legs under him and will not be rushed back. Just remember Greer started practicing and was expected back to and the POOF! We all were stunned by another injury………..to his Groin………..I doubt that is the case this time around but Porter on the practice field is just to gage where his knee is at.
Shocker and Stinch
Shockey – toe problems are usually pretty serious. This is either super minor or we may not get much out of the shock for the rest of the season.
Stinky – idk. He hasn’t played that well. Looks not mobile. Not really surprised that he is injured still.
Greer – man we need him. I don’t know what to say. 1st playoff game maybe?
PUT THE WHOLE TEAM IN THE HYPERBARIC CHAMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We need new mouthpieces…

It's Tupperware Time
It’s the time of year to keep guys fresh. There will be more players listed on injury reports this time of year to rest them from wear and tear or daily grind of weekly/daily practice. I’m sure they know the playbook by now so walk-throughs should be sufficient to get them ready to execute the game plan.
Look at Indy’s injury report. Last week they had maybe ten or twelve. This Monday all of a sudden they had 29 players listed.
Now either it’s to keep opponents guessing or it’s the Tupperware factor. Not to worry until we see the active list on game day.

Besides that
we have to keep in mind that there is a big difference between being hurt and being injured. Most of these “injuries” I’m reading are players being hurt. If a couple of weeks’ rest will assure them being ready for the playoffs, that’s when you have to weigh into the equation two things: 1) can you win without him (which so far has been a struggle vs. so-called lesser teams); and 2) will depriving that player of recuperating time cause him to miss playoff games (the record seems to point toward cautiousness in handling injured players this year). They have showed an affinity to keep players out extra week(s) to avoid rushing someone back into the lineup before they were ready. Besides, what’s better a starter at 75% healthy or a backup at 100%?

Shockey has "noticeable limp"
Steve Wyche reporting for NFL.com says Porter may play, but Shockey looks bad.

I don't think he really knows what he's talking about.
I bet Shockey plays some against Dallas, then takes the next two games off, and there’s almost no chance Porter really plays this week. He may dress, but I just don’t see them putting him in. This is the first week in like six that they haven’t had some kind of rotation at CB. I think they have to let the current starters start, and let Porter get well a bit longer. I hope this McCauly(sp?) guy can man cover, because without Porter and Greer, they have about four good nickel or slot corners, and no man coverage.
