Poof...........

Capt

That's the sound of the air let out of our pursuit to perfection...tonight was a huge let down....I cannot lie I bleed Black and Gold through and through always have always will...any loss stinks.  Give credit to the Dallas Cowboys they played a good game and had the Saints on the ropes the whole game.  There O-line dominated our D and they ran and threw crossing routes at will.  It was incredibly frusterating to see, since we are usually doing that to other teams!  We had the missed FG attempt and then DeMarcus Ware shut us down....

So with that being said we lossed! were still 13-1 and we have 2 games to go against Division rivals.  Tampa Bay and Carolina are more than willing to still spoil the rest of our season!  We as the Saints Nation really wanted this one but lets move on to the next game.

Hopefully the perverbial "Monkey" will now be off of our backs and we can focus on the big picture at hand...

Keep Moving Forward!!! Geaux Saints!!! Bless you Boys!!!

Yea I hate the Cowboys as well…….We should think about giving some of those O-linemen a breather vs. Tampa Bay……they were out played today.

What's the up side to all this?

The Colts are now the only ones who have to worry, “Sit the starters or not?”

The wrong decision would be sweet!

Up side

We still have to very manageable games left to get things on a roll…Tampa Bay is a college football team and Carolina never got off the starting line…with a loss we still have momentum….we just need to play hard the next 2 games and get players healthy for the 2nd round of the playoffs.

by Saintsfan4life on Dec 19, 2009 11:36 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

also in your next two games you play a rookie QB that was thrust in there in josh freeman and in carolina have a backup QB in moore

(dont think delomme is back) i know this loss hurts but dont forget (13-1) is not the end of your season still have a good shot at going deep in the playoffs. anyway good luck to ya’ll

GO COLTS!!! 09 IS OURS!!!

13-1 is not that bad

They’ll let it sit with them for a little bit and get over it. It’s not the end of the world

Tampa Bay and Carolina

Let that sink in. 15-1 is a real possibility and while it’s not 16-0, 15-1 is enough to lock up home field advantage assuming the Vikings win out for the rest of the season. Romo isn’t a bad QB and he’s capable of putting up numbers like this. Losing to the Cowboys now is better than possibly losing to them in the playoffs (assuming they get there), so let’s take a deep breath and realize that the Saints can learn something here.

I like somethings

We at least have Porter & Fujita back…….man it was nice to see Porter lay some hits on Austin……Shockey & Ellis should not play unitl Carolina…..Greer just needs R&R and practice time to get up to game speed…..I dont know about Reggie….

by Saintsfan4life on Dec 20, 2009 12:08 AM CST reply actions   0 recs

We'll find out

I say sit Reggie until the playoffs. He needs the time to recover. He’s a big playmaker.

I don't think this changes anything for me

It would have been nice, but I never went into this season with hopes as high as going 19-0. Heck, I never got my hopes as high as 13-0 before the season started. This is still a great season and one loss isn’t going to turn this into a failure. Our goal is still the Super Bowl and that is still a very real possibility.

True Dat!

I was locked in at 10-6 based on strength of schedule at the beginning of the season.

Yeah I was expecting somewhere around that as well. Maybe 11-5 or 12-4 if we got really lucky. I’m glad at least we got better than that.

But still, to put up a stinkbomb like that on national TV is pretty annoying.

by FriarBob on Dec 20, 2009 12:29 AM CST up reply actions   0 recs

In terms of the big picture

The best thing you could say is that if the Saints go 18-1, it’s because they won the rest of their games and won it all. If you want a stinkbomb on national TV, look no further than Super Bowl 42. By comparison, that’s not nearly as bad.

So, what's up?

If a defensive guy rings somebody’s bell with his helmet, it’s called foul play. When Vilma gets rung, it’s called aggressive play. I think Vilma owes him one.
