It sucks
that it comes down to one bad performance but I would give it to him anyway because despite playing a bad game… the man damn near put up 3 touchdowns in the 4th quarter to bring them to a tie game.. and I’m pretty sure he would have done it if he had and extra half a second of protection. The guy never quits and I think he should be rewarded for that.
But its not up to me its the Manning loving Farve swallowing NFL leauge voters who get to decide. So most likely its going to be Manning because he’s the only one who won this week. (Don’t get me wrong… I like Peyton… he’s a great QB)
But it doesn’t matter anyway. Our boys lost yes but we still have complete control of the NFC and we’re going to keep marching and fighting to SB44 where Brees will be the MVP.

I know TD/INT ratio and consistency are both huge, in terms of what the voters look for in a QB. Both Brees and Manning have one game in which their INT total exceeded their TD total. However, Manning has thrown more TDs than INTs in 10 games to Brees’s 8. He also only has 1 game in which he failed to throw a TD, while Brees has 2. I personally think it’s an overrated statistic, as INTs aren’t always the QB’s fault and can easily occur anywhere on the field with equal carelessness, as opposed to TDs which occur more frequently the closer you are to the red zone. Just relaying what I’ve read in the past.
