Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

After the showing by the G-men...

do we want to have to play them again in the playoffs?  Are they this good or are the Redskins that bad?  I know we beat them once....I personaly think we can thump them again.  Anything can happen......

I DO BELIEVE WE CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!  Your thoughts are very welcome, of course.   It may have seemed like the wind have come out of our sails, but I REFUSE to believe that.  We will be back, stronger than ever!!!!!

I think we ate the cheese after the NE game. And if we spit it back out, we’ll have a pretty good chance.

I think we can beat them because

we have a better offense than the Skins on a bad day. JC looked hurt that entire game and has actually been gutting through his injuries for the past 4 or 5 games. Skins have a good D but are way too aggressive in situations when the don’t need to be. Their offense was pretty much shut down last night because they couldn’t get the running game going and JC couldn’t throw because their O-line sucks dude was on the ground almost everytime he took a snap. It was sad.

Giants, like the Cowboys, were desperate for this win so they came out and played hard as they could and looked good. But if we see them again in the playoffs, our defense will be much healthier, our Offense will have it together and we’ll be playing @ home. I think we can win that matchup if it came down to it.

Plus I kinda

want the Giants to to win out so the Cowboys don’t make it. I doubt they’ll beat the Eagles twice because they are looking good as well.

Soul Searching..............

After digesting the Dallas loss, watching the beat down Carolina gave the Vikes and the same thing happening to Washington by the Giants, I have come to the conclusion……..
My Saints are in a heap of trouble. All the teams that we have beat are now a lot better and are making a push for the playoffs and we have stumbled around since the Patriot game and slowly lost pace until we finally lost to Dallas. I realize that we only have one loss against 13 wins but none of that matters now.
If we continue to struggle to get wins against Tampa Bay and Carolina, I dont see us getting past the first playoff game but if we can blow these teams out and be the team we were in the Patriots game and maintain that momentum, we might have a shot. Dallas looked really good saturday night and we looked really bad. Carolina looked really good beating the Vikes. The Giants looked really good beating Washington. We looked really bad against Washington. We have looked really bad ever since the Patriot game and now that we have lost a game, I expect nothing less than our last wo games to be blow outs to get us on the right path. If we struggle with either of these losing teams………………….It aint gonna look good going into the playoffs.

I'm not too worried

We have been banged up for a while, but we are getting healthier. To tell the truth, the only team I’d really like to meet in the playoffs right now is the Vikes. Every other potential playoff team has come on strong and finished well. But thats how it is in the playoffs. The only teams left are the good ones that know how to win. And yes, I definitely include our Saints in that catagory of teams that know how to win. Will we beat all of those teams? I don’t know. Can we beat them? 100% yes.

Philly the big concern

and Deshawn Jackson running free in our secondary, we’ll need Jabari Greer ready to play and our D-Line needs to step up, talk of Westbrook being back also.

Eagles have not beat a good team yet. Minnesota has problems. Giants beat a Redskin team that

has basically given up. I just don’t think one loss should make everyone panic. And, after that 16 game season ends, and we rest a week and other teams don’t, and some of them have to travel, advantage Saints. We have a great team. We had a great team vs Patriots and we still do. Don’t panic.

The CSC panic button is getting worn down to a nub!

The Saints have to win one of our last two games to get home field advantage. Yea, I know, we got spanked in the Superdome but it is called “home field advantage” for a reason. We just have to take advantage of the, well . . . ., advantage!

The question of resting players has been answered by the sports headlines of December 20th. Perfection no longer being an option, we will play smart for the last two games and attempt to keep everybody as healthy as possible while still winning by at least 1 point. (The “W” does not get smaller as the score gets closer!)

During the bye week, Dr. Oz comes in and makes everybody all better, Dr. Phil gets their minds right (“How’s that loss working for ya?”), and Dr. John wrights a new song to get them pumped to a fever pitch.

FIrst playoff game = all is well the the Who Dat Nation and saintsational throws the CSC panic button in the dumpster (right next to the Cowboy’s dreams).

Fat, dumb, and happy. Hell, two out of three ain't bad!

NO........I'm not panicing , just cautious

I think the next two games will define our season. All the losing teams we have played took us to the brink and a couple we had to come from behind. One we had to have a miracle missed field goal so we could get to OT (The Giants killed them). I would not be upset about a loss that was like the Dallas game but to struggle through as many losers as we have concerns me. If everybody else wins against these teams, We should have smothered them.
I’m a Saint fan to the bone but I have seen this senario before……Win the ones you shouldn’t and lose the ones you shouldn’t. Been there ’done that. We must win and win convincingly. No more struggling !!!!!

Yes, JND, you are right

a lot of people are panicking. The next two games will not define our season in any way. They will make a difference if our path is a little bit easier and at our home field, or they will not. The only thing that really matters right now, the only game that matters, is the one on 17th in New Orleans. Think about that. That game will define us. That’s almost a month away and I would think chances are real high that we will, at that point, be healthier than any other team in the NFC. Greer, Shockey, Sed, Moore, Fujita, Young, Reggie, Mitchell, Goodwin, Porter, Gay, Mc Kenzie, they will all be healthier than they have been in weeks.

PS- Just remembered that Mc Kenzie didn't practice much last week

and hasn’t played much in a year, no wonder he struggled a bit.
