NFC Playoffs who's in?
Our Nola Saints are definately locked into a 1st round BYE regardless of how things pan out in the next few weeks, but what does the rest of the Division look like?
1. New Orleans - The Saints are still sitting pretty for that home field advantage tag. Injuries are healing on Defense and we play Tampa Bay this weekend. A win solidfies H.F.A. Still to go: TB, @ CAR
2. Minnesota - The Vikings have been very inconsistent the last few weeks. EJ Henderson's injury was huge for their D. Playmakers on offense are getting healthier. The Giants will be comming to town. Still to go: @CHI, NYG
3. Arizona - The Cardinals secured the Division long long ago (weak). There is not much to say Arizona will be in the wild card round but can play as a huge spoiler in the GB game. They might see each other in the next round. Still to go: STL, GB
4. Philadelphia - The Eagles have a very daunting task playing the last 2 weeks against team that have ALOT to play for Chances are they might get booted out with 2 losses. Still to go: DEN, @DAL
5. Green Bay - The Packers lossed a heart breaker in Pittsburgh...Bring on the lowly Seahawks!!! The Pack still play in the desert of Arizona. Still to go: SEA, @ARZ
6. Dallas - The Cowboys had a huge emotional high beating our Saints. Watch out for the Skins. Something tells me December might be something worth remembering this season? They are playing good football. Still to go: @WASH, PHI
7. New York Giants - The Giants won a huge game and looked to be clicking on all cylanders...YIKES!! They control ther fate but need to win out to get a shot. Playing a angry Panther team and then going to Minnesota spells trouble. Still to go: CAR, @MIN
HOW WILL THINGS PAN OUT?

Philly has clinched a playoff spot
The Giants can’t catch them, so they are assured at least of a wildcard even if they lose out. I will be rooting for the Giants to make it and knock the Cowboys out. I also hope the Packers get to be the team to eliminate the Minnesota Favres in the 2nd round.

The Packers eliminating the Vikings would be so damn sweet!
I remember seeing a sign at the first Vik/Pack game this year. It read:
“We’ll never forget you, Brent.”
Priceless!!!!!

Well, I see everbody voted the same as me
I want Dallas out so bad I can taste it but I would really like another game with them too. I want payback so bad…… I dont worry about the Vikes and Packers but I do worry about the Eagles. Not sure about Cardinals or Giants yet.
oops
yea your right the Eagles did make it!! I personally believe that the Packers and Cowboys get the nod in just off of how there seasons have gone so far.
if i had to guess
looking at the nfl.com scenario if the season ended today, id say the saints would wind up playing green bay, as theyd beat the cards, and philly would beat dallas, then philly in the nfc championship, as i think they’d beat minnesota. if the saints beat philly, id have to go with the saints facing either the colts or chargers. saints chargers would be interesting as drew could get some paybacks
I think it's imporatant to point out that Arizona has a home game vs wild card team first round
and although they are not a team this year that looks scary, going to the desert in January to play an away game from the east coast (i.e. Phila) or (Dallas or Green Bay) is a little weird and unpredictable. Arizona stands a much better chance of winning at home under those circumstamces, especially since they are NFC defending champs. Just wanted to point that out since I think they are being overlooked – not as far as winning it all or even winning the NFC. But I could easily see them winning their first playoff game at home especially since they’ve already clinched and they have Fitzgerald, Warner, Boldin, Hightower and Beanie Wells and a defense that is hard to predict.

out of the 7 contending NFC teams
you could argue that the 2 teams with greatest opportunity to get some rest are the Saints and Cardinals. That is not for certain, but clearly NYG, Green Bay, Dallas, Phila and Minnesota are being pushed much stronger than Saints or Cardinals. Saints have clinched a first round bye and second round home game and are only playing Tampa or Carolina for homefield vs Minn. in NFC championship game and Minn may not even get there. If anyone else gets there, they play in NOLA. Big advantage . As far as Ariz. is concerned, they have clinched a first round game (not a bye) and a first round home game and are certain their second game, if they win, is away (no possibility of being at home) , so they are better off resting and getting healthy vs worrying what their seed is in determining their second round opponent if they get there.
