I am a Saints fan but I knew I could not trust them they do this very same thing every chance they get, they made Dallas look good then they made Tampa look like a playoff bound team.
Sean Payton should ask Gregg Williams for his $250,000.00 back (Shoulda)
Tom Benson would give the people a refund for yesterdays game if he were a human (Woulda)
The offense could have won had they not quit after the first quarter (Coulda)
The aints are looses for 43 years and will be for the next 43 years
In 2005 I routed for the opposing team and won most of the games, in 2006 they changed coaches got a new quarterback got Reggie Bush I said I'll give you guys one more chance and guess what if they do not make it to the Superbowl this will be my last year as a football fan

You sound like a tool bandwagon fan. What do you mean “you will give them one more chance”. Are they your team or not? Good or bad you need to stick with them, if you call yourself a true fan. I am very disappointed by yesterdays game and effort in the 2nd half, but I still believe this is out year. My plans for a road trip to Miami have not changed. But if they dont make it, I will start planning for next year. Because one year they will make it and I will be there!!

I remember Jim Mora and the standing ovation loosing to the Viking 45-10 the standing ovation was for making it to the playoffs Jim Mora our best 8-8 coach even he had enough and quit
I remember Jim Haslett and Arron Brooke and how they fell apart
I also remember Hank Stram, Dick Nolan & Mike Dicka
So no I have been a Fan For A very Long Time and it been the same for a very long time

Look, you don’t even understand what being a fan is to start with. A fan is a few letters short of fanatic for something or somebody or some group. Fanatic implies a release from logic and stats and means you just plain are FOR your ‘team’. You seemed pissed off at the Saints and that your feelings of resentment go way back. I love this team even if they never win a race! I dont know If anyone has noticed, but the NFL has been crazy this year, Examples:
1. the Eagles whose bandwagon eveyone is jumping lost to the RAIDERS a few weeks ago
2. the superbowl champs lost to the BROWNS, RAIDERS, AND CHIEFS fo gods sake
3. there are 100 more, but you get the idea
lets see what happens tonight. If the Bears win, we are golden with resting some folks and getting healthy

I admit I am disappointed. I admit unless something changes, I don’t see the Saints winning another game. What I am doing is giving up on this team. They almost double their number of wins this season and made vast improvements. What needs to happen is for this team to build on this and make further strides. The Saints lack depth at key positions. Injuries have a devastating effect on this team. The Bush, Stockey and Moore injuries have taken away our middle of the field weapons. The guys that can take an over the middle slant or a screen and gain 25 yards. Without these guys, teams are able to double Henderson, Meachem and Colston. The guys who kept talking about getting rid of Reggie, don’t understand our offense. With Reggie in the game, they can’t double our wideouts, making defense subject to the deep ball on double moves. Without Reggie or Stockey safties get to play for the deep pass.
On defense, we are shallow at db, dt and lb, where we are having our injuries. We need to develop depth at these positions. If we don’t go further this year, next year will be better. I have heard people complaining about Malcolm Jenkins. It is so rare for a rookie corner to make an instantious jump to the NFL. Corners take some time to develop. Next year he will be better after an off-season and a full training camp. Look at Meachem, he took three years to develop at wide receiver. I remember so many fans writing him off as a bust.
Guys, I know its disappointing, but let’s not jump ship. Peyton takes steps and this is just one of them.

Sounds to me like you shouldn’t be any team’s fan. Only two teams play for the championship each year, and that goes for football, baseball, basketball, and hockey. If you can only be a fan of a team if they make it to the championship, well, you’ll be changing teams just about every year. Good luck with that. You should just be a sports fan. That way you could cheer it up for whichever team is winning and never have to deal with disappointment. As for me, I like my Saints. I’m sticking with them, even if they don’t win a playoff game this year. At least they made it…

I’ve been a Saints fan for as long as they have been around, and a football fan all of my life. I’m glad the fact that I enjoy football doesn’t revolve around how well the local team is doing! Of course, you could love the Saints but not care much about the sport itself, but that wouldn’t make sense to me. If you don’t want to be a football fan because you are frustrated with the Saints, good riddance to you!! Sounds like a classic bandwagon fan to me!!

Deck Ape
Being a Navy man myself, I know what a deck ape is. Deck apes are Bosuns. And you give the Bosuns a bad name. Not that they ever really had a good name. Most Bosuns that have stayed in the Navy for a while can only go up in rank when the higher ranking ones die off. The rate is so over filled, it’s kinda sad. Deck apes take needle guns and chip paint, paint and then chip paint again. I think you have been playing with your monkey’s fist knot and hit your head a little too many times. That or you have been painting without your mask again. I understand that you are not being racist by using the deck ape nickname, but really, you are not helping yourself out with your lack of intelligent responses to your posts. Maybe if you take the time to think about what you are going to say and how you are going to retort to the things that others have said to you, maybe, just maybe, you wont sound like a blathering idiot.

This is America and everyone has a Constitutional right to be an ass. Really what is he guilty of? Putting into words what many of the older fans are feeling. I was a Saints fan before most of you were born. I have watch and prayed and been disappointed for over 40 years. I love my Saints. I own more Saints memoribia than the Saints Museum. I have my own wall of Fame. I have on one way autograph pictures of Archie, the Dome Patrol, the first Saints program. I have a collection of the dubloon they used to put in the programs. I have a Doug Atkins autograph, a Rickey Williams autograph, autographed pictures of Reggie Bush, Deuce McAlister, Bobby Hebert, Doug McCall, David Rowe, Tommy Meyers and Steve Stonebreaker. I have autographed footballs from Tom Dempsey, Billy Kilmer, Drew Brees, the entire 1987 and 2009 Saints team, Joe Horn, and Durland Moore. I have an autograph book I started in 1966 with Jimmy Taylor as my first autograph, the last one I got today from Bushrod. I have bobble heads, talking Saint automatons, mini helmets and I even have a 1967 helmet, not to mention the collection of Saints jersey, tee shirts, sweat shirts and football cards. I even have Saints shoes, underwear and a Saints belt buckle that says “I Believe”. I was a poor kid and couldn’t afford to go the games, heck sometimes we had ketchup soup for dinner, but I saw every game until I went into the military. I sold soft drinks, so I could see the game. I would go to old Tulane Stadium at 5 am so I could be first in line for a vending job. You had to buy your trays of sodas, so I would save up all week from odd jobs and my paper route, so I could afford that first tray. God, those were the days. I miss that old Stadium, it was a shame that they tore it down. I challenge anyone to say they are a bigger fan. In that, I can say, I don’t see the Saints winning a single playoff game. It breaks my heart to say this, but this team is sliding and unless Sean Payton has a genie in a bottle somewhere, our season is in jeopardy. Damn, I am crying as I write this. I love my Saints, but I’m not blind or stupid. This team has not played well for over a month. I pray they can turn it around, but I just don’t see it.

I have not been a fan since the beginning (came aboard in 1989), I certainly don’t have the awesome collection, but I have been around long enough to know that this season has been a hell of a ride and we are not to the gate yet.I for one am not going to lament the best season I have ever seen as a saint fan nor am I jumping ship until it crashes and burns and even not then.

In 1987, the Saints won their first division title and was the hottest team in the league. Their defense was the best in the NFL. However, the last two games of the season they lost their top five defensive backs and had to play the Vikings, a passing team, with a set of defensive backs that were not even with the team at the beginning of the season. They lost 44 -10. I think they were 12 – 3 that year. I just wish they were not backing into the playoffs.

You must have read the crap spewed by Deckape69 and jumped in to this post cuddling up with him. What did you expect? The only thing worse than a hater troll is a home grown hater. Thats just my opinion. This has been the greatest Saints team ever, yet some want to bash them . You too are entitled to say ur piece but when it I see the word Aints my blood boils like many others. I understand a lot of people here are new Saints fans and don’t really know what it feels like are know why the bag heads came and went and why they were called the AINTS
I remember the Saints playing a Monday night game with the Jets, we had Jake the Snake at QB, winning 21-0 at halve time if they win they are off to the playoffs what happens in the second halve is a crime the Jets ate them up and spit them out.
That’s when I took Saints games to heart, now I learned to take it a lot more lite and call them what they are and sometimes they are what they are. I’m not biting all the hoopla this team is going to win the SB, if they do which I hopr they do then I’ll call them what they are
