Madden NFL 10 Commercials Featuring the Saints

These commercials have been getting a lot of airplay recently, at least that I've been noticing, and I wanted to make sure all of you saw them in case they weren't popular in your part of the country or you don't watch television. I'm sure they will make at least one persons day. I think they're hilarious. I think my favorite is the kid with his thumb in the miniature hot tub. Enjoy.

P.S. - Not sure when these were filmed but it may say something about our new found respect.

Love those

I haven’t seen the first one before. Maybe they don’t show it out here in the Southwest. I like Shockey in the second one. There’s another version with our Saints that I haven’t seen in a while. It must have been replaced with the second one above.

Maybe we’re experiencing the reverse of the so-called “Madden Curse.” For years now, people seem to think that the player on the cover of the Madden game would have a bad, injury-riddled year as a result of being on the cover. Shaun Alexander is an example that comes to mind. Since our team is in the TV ads instead, maybe we’re getting the reverse of that and experiencing good luck. Whatever the hell is happening, I hope it continues. Drew Brees needs a ring!

Maybe is a double whammy. The cover people get jinxed — and IMO it couldn’t happen to a more deserving fellow (Polamalu) — and the ad people become extra good.

Probably has nothing to do with it of course. But Polamalu can continue to hurt his knee as often as he wants. I won’t mind.

aw man

dont hate on Polamalu. I love the guy. Probably one of the best football players I have ever seen. He’s a freak with great hair. I also use head and shoulders just to try and get hair like that.

Yeah

The Shockey line is also one of my favs. “What are you pushing…X? Circle? You don’t even know!” He didn’t have to act one bit for that.

I've been seeing these all season.

I believe it actually started around preseason, but eh.

That kid

With the mini hot tub for his thumb actually goes to my school. His name is Chris Horne and he got paid like $50,000 to do it. He and I even had the same drama teacher. I don’t like him though.

Who else is a little nervous...

about the fact that it might be snowing in Washington?
Gotta give them a good dose of PT and Mike Bell!

No snow for the game...

But it’s still gonna be cold up here! Snow ended last night, and was only an inch or two on grassy areas. Probably gone by gametime—forcast is for sunny and around 40 degrees.

Holy Crap!

I’ve seen that second one many times and just noticed that Drew is sitting next to the guy on the bus. That makes it even funnier. Duh!
