When the media puts on pads and gets the everloving crap knocked out of them every week
THEN we’ll give them an interview – whenever they want.
Except for the local guys, screw the media. What have they done for us lately. I mean really!
Fat, dumb, and happy. Hell, two out of three ain't bad!

Payton is in the right
for doing this. Let your players do what they do and concentrate of playing the games. Not answering the same question about going undefeated over and over again. Cuz that’s all the media outside of Louisiana wants… for the players to “say” that we can go undefeated so they can flip it in a negative way like they did to the Pats.
Plus I doubt any of the players on our team are just dying to do interviews. They want to play the rest of the games on the schedule get some rest on the bye and get to the Superbowl. The only time I think they should speak to the media is on “Media Day” @ the Superbowl (Which I kinda hate cuz it makes the players jump through hoops fo like 16hrs when they could be resting and reading their play books for the biggest game of their lives)
