Much too close to home
Rotoworld.com:
Ex-Saints defensive coordinator Gary Gibbs is reportedly emerging as a candidate for Todd Haley's staff in Kansas City.
It's not known whether Gibbs would serve as defensive coordinator or linebackers coach. Haley and Chiefs GM Scott Pioli are tight with Bill Parcells, with whom Gibbs worked for four years in Dallas.

Just when I thought the Chiefs were turning things around, they do something like this.

He's definitely a Chief now

Updating a previous item, NFL Network’s Adam Schefter reports the Chiefs have indeed hired ex-Saints defensive coordinator Gary Gibbs.
It’s still not known whether Gibbs will take over as defensive coordinator or linebackers coach.

I doubt he’ll be the DC, though. My money is on linebackers coach.
Go Saints!!!!

At which he may be good
Dallas had pretty good linebackers. Gibbs was a linebacker, IIRC. He’s within the scope of his own competence again.

Peter principle
wikipedia:
Peter’s Corollary states that “in time, every post tends to be occupied by an employee who is incompetent to carry out his duties” and adds that “work is accomplished by those employees who have not yet reached their level of incompetence”.
Gibbs is back down below that level again. Good for him. More time for surfing porn too.
So many provocations, so little time.
