Just wondering
And I’ll probably need some help to get the numbers right but….
If «Deuce Is Loose» (copyright on CSC), his present contract is obsolete, right? From what I see with Shawn Alexander, old RB’s, say 28 and over, ain’t that appealing for a majority of teams. Tomlinson will probably get a taste of it next year…
So what about Deuce can’t get neither money nor recognition elsewhere and still is available comes July? How much would that cost? With him having another 5 months to totally heal, I’d be very curious to see what he can do for ONE more year. As much as I like Thomas he ain’t be the one moving the pile….
Could Deuce step on his ego, come back at a reasonnable price, get it done and goes from Hero to Super-Hero in a great year for the Saints? Heck, I like the scenario.
I know, I know. I’m a romantic….

Don't think so.
Payton pretty much washed his hands of Deuce LAST YEAR. My only hope is that he retires a Saint.

Another tidbit of information
This from Rotoworld
Free agent Deuce McAllister had his left knee scoped six weeks ago.
This won’t help him find a new home. Deuce had microfracture surgery on the same knee last offseason and has now had four knee operations in the last four years. He admits he couldn’t pass a physical for any team right now.
