NFL Scouting Combine update: Feb. 21
The big news here today is that Texas Tech receiver Michael Crabtree has a slight stress fracture in his left foot, which will require surgery to insert a screw and should sideline him for about two months.

rotoworld.com:
TE Brandon Pettigrew ran an unofficial 4.85 forty time at the NFL Scouting Combine. His second unofficial time was 4.97 and his third was 4.87. Mike Mayock ranks Pettigrew number eight on his top prospects list, and didn’t seem concerned about the slow times. “Just put on the tape,” he said. Still, this could push Pettigrew’s stock down round one.

The best time for a tight end was Jared Cook at 4.50. Holy crap, tight ends have to be that fast? 4.85 is SLOW for a tight end? Do you think that Mark Campbell could clomp his way to a sub 5 second 40 time??? Me neither. Not sure about Shockey. Or Billy.
Preserving the old ways from being abused.
