New Orleans Saints tender contract offer to restricted free agent offensive tackle Zach Strief
The Saints tendered a contract offer to restricted free agent offensive tackle Zach Strief this week - a one-year, $1.545 million offer, which means they would receive a second-round draft pick as compensation if he signs with another team.

perfect
I love that they are putting them down as 2nd rounders.
Teams will bite more on that then 1st rounders and we may actually get a 2nd round this year now.

Agreed
I think Pay-Loo are expecting to lose one of these guys and receive an extra draft pick this year. I just hope it’s not Jahri. I think he’s too good to let go. At least the pay-off of an extra 1st round pick plus a third round pick would be great to receive if another team really, really wants him. With his current league reputation as one of the top free agent O-linemen out there, another team may make a serious play for him. If we lose him, who could take his spot and perform close to the same level? Duckworth? Lehr? Nesbit? I think Carl Nicks is already a lock for the left G position.
Go Saints!!!! Deuce may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.
