Jonathan Vilma must think it's 1998 in New Orleans

The Saints reportedly faxed a contract proposal to LB Jonathan Vilma directly after the free agent period began.
All along Vilma has been New Orleans' priority re-signing and they don't want to lose him to the Buccaneers. Vilma will do better than Channing Crowder did. The 26-year-old led the Saints with 130 tackles last season.

Vilma would be viewed as a weak-side linebacker in Tampa Bay and the heir to Derrick Brooks. The Saints, however, are feverishly working to lock him up.

I agree. The fax machine is old technology. Scan and then email is the best way.

No news on Vilma yet, so I get the feeling his agent is testing the waters. Dear God in Heaven, I hope he stays with us.

the Bucs are P.E. # 1 in my book.

The past few years when Alt sucked hard, and we stomped them every time we met, I started to sympathize. Throw in the whole Vick fiasco, and I just felt downright sorry for the bastards. Even after last year, when they beat us, I found it hard to hate them. They did it the right way. If they continue to improve, however, and Matt Ryan continues to have that “Aw shucks, this shit’s easy” fucking smile on his face, I’ll revert back to my old hating ways faster than you can say “Josh Bullocks sucks ass.”

The Bucs, on the other hand, have been a pain in our ass pretty consistently since Gruden arrived. The games are never easy, and they always have players that annoy the crap out of me (Because they are good). Galloway, Barber, Garcia, to name a few. Personally, I hate them the most…
