Lance has done really well for himself in the NFL, he should be proud.
Somebody tell me what was wrong with Mike Bell. I thought he looked fairly quick at times, even Stecker-esque. I predict that Bell sticks in ’09.
Change is GOOD. Except when you have to deal with a bunch of obstructionists.

Wasn't the fumble call
overturned?
Oh when the Saints...Start kicking ass...You don't want to be in that number...

Must have been, NFL.com shows no fumbles for 2008 for Bell. And what a nice smile he has.

So many provocations, so little time.

The overturned call is to his dropped ball is what saved his bacon. It was the Detroit game and he did it right in front of me I saw him lose it. And to be honest I would have ruled it a fumble too..
one fumble, even a overturned one, does not mean hes bad and he probably deserves a shot.
I liked what i saw of him, I was thinking.. this is our powerback of the future.. and he fumbled at the goalline in front of me.
Remember.. Being a Saints fan means never having to say your rational….

man you guys have good memories
Apparently I can only remember slights and grievances.
In Bell’s highlight video, the announcer says “from goat to hero” when he scores and I wondered what he was talking about, that’s it.

. Mike Bell took a screen pass all the way down to the goal line and fumbled. Daniel Bullocks recovered it in the end zone, and the officials ruled that it was Detroit’s ball.

Then why isn’t Bell credited with a fumble in his stats?
So many provocations, so little time.

Shouldn't that be "debited"?
It’s because the ruling was reversed. Check it out.

correct
I’m an accountant. I almost wrote debit. But I didn’t want to show off.
(5:16) 9-D.Brees pass short right to 40-M.Bell to DET 1 for 14 yards (55-R.Nece). FUMBLES (55-R.Nece), RECOVERED by DET-27-D.Bullocks at DET 0. Touchback. New Orleans challenged the fumble ruling, and the play was REVERSED. 9-D.Brees pass short right to 40-M.Bell to DET 1 for 14 yards (55-R.Nece).
1-1-DET 1 (4:50) 9-D.Brees pass incomplete short left to 88-J.Shockey.
2-1-DET 1 (4:44) 40-M.Bell up the middle for 1 yard, TOUCHDOWN.
Goat to hero in less than a minute. That was nice of Payton to let him have the carry for the TD.
So many provocations, so little time.

aye it was.
Sorry the last post of mine was supposed to be a quote, for some reason I am double posting lines, and missing quotes left and right.
