Wouldn't it be awesome if he could?
If only he had the necessary speed and skills, can you imagine a guy with his size roaming the secondary waiting to lay a crushing hit on an opposing WR? Receivers would be scared senseless and afraid to touch the ball. Actually, someone would probably get seriously injured or dead. I think Sharper will eventually sign on as free safety. It’s not like he really has any other options and Pay-Loo knows it. They’re just waiting him out. Eventually, he’ll take their $ offer. Then, he can be the veteran leader at the position while they bring Malcolm Jenkins or another draftee up to speed.
Go Saints!!!! Deuce may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.

How is Sharper going to sign when all our money is going to other teams' castoffs?
I flat out do not understand what PayLoo are thinking nowadays. Everything but a safety.
RE-SIGN LANCE MOORE!

I'm going to post a link to JEff Duncan's Saints mailbag in a minute or two

In which Duncan pretty much says the same thing.

Sooooooooooo… when are we planning on picking up a FS? I mean that is the #1 position that needs to be taken cared of in the off-season. It would be nice to sign a Safety some time before their all gone and were stuck with Kaesviharn.

Alright.....
We are all aware of what safeties are out there….Jack..and…Schitt! So let them wait out Sharper. We had only one center, make that two with this signing. We definetely needed another d-linemen. They seem to be a pretty good fit too. Not everyone on the roster can be an all-star. Let’s all be sensible fans and realize that the front office seems to be doing a good job with the money they have, and the options that are out there. Remember there is draft coming up in April.
Think about where this team was just 4 years ago. Sure they had a couple of misses, Jason David (for now), Meachem (so far) But think about the homeruns, a supposedly injured Drew Brees, Colston, Evans, PT, Vilma. I, for one, will not be hasty.
SOOOOOO, anybody got any suggestions or requests on what they should do to address the gapping hole at FS in the next 24 hours…..it’s OK….I’ll wait…..
looking forward to 2010
