I doubt he'll answer my questions
I can’t think of really anything to ask that I expect he might answer. I’ll still give it a try. I’ve submitted three already.

We’re excited about Lance Moore. Each year he has gotten better in our program, and Brees has confidene in everything Lance does.
He’s smart, has great hands, and knows how to find the open seems. I think you’ll see him in a Saints’ uniform for a long time.

He’s definitely one who holds his cards close to his chest. I asked him about a lot of players, but didn’t get an answer. I mostly was wanting to know why Grammatica was still on the roster. I guess he plans to let him and Hartley battle it out. Hartley has already won the job, IMHO.

As far as I know
Grammatica’s not on the roster…he’s an unrestricted free agent, which means he has no contract with any team at all right now. And the Saints have apparently not offered him one.

Well, how about that!
They must have just recently updated their roster listings at the team site. I now see that Grammatica is no longer listed, along with no Mark Campbell or Aaron Stecker. Talk about being unceremoniously released! I guess they’re already gone. If I get time in the near future, I think I’ll sit down and create a post of the players that are gone and the new arrivals in a sorta depth chart kind of thing. I can’t keep track anymore.

Payton was also on the NFL Network's show "Path to the Draft" earlier tonight (6:30 pm EST)
He came on at the end of the show, and they had him talk about Sanchez, and then the USC pro day. Not much new to us there, but it’s our coach on TV, so…
Those of you with NFLN might want to tivo the re-broadcast before the next new show airs tomorrow evening.
