In the end, it could be too much pressure for San Diego to let LaDainian Tomlinson get away
I hate to rain on everyone's second line, but I think this is much ado about nothing.

Haslett mention
I know this is off topic, but at the bottom of this article it says this:
Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com is reporting that former Saints coach Jim Haslett is expected to be named a head coach of one of the four franchises in the fledgling United Football League, which plans to launch its inaugural six-game season in October. Former New York Giants coach Jim Fassel is expected to coach the UFL’s Las Vegas club.
I kinda feel bad for Haslett since he seemingly can’t get a job in the NFL this year. I’ll bet that UFL doesn’t last one season, especially since it will be on during the NFL season. What are those guys smokin’? Haslett should just cut ties with Rick Venturi. The two of them have been connected at the hip for years and the outcome on those teams (Saints, Rams) and their seasons has yet to be anything but mediocre. I still believe Venturi must have some pretty sweet blackmail information on Haslett. Why else would he keep him around? Venturi’s defenses have truly sucked over the past several seasons. I’ll just end this Venturi rant right now before I work my blood pressure up again.
Well, back to the LT topic. I agree with Jeff Duncan. I would be shocked if the Chargers don’t hold on to him.
Go Saints!!!! Deuce may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.

I wouldn't be shocked
If the issue is money, then neither side really has any incentive to budge. The Chargers are NOT going to pay Tomlinson superstar money anymore, and Tomlinson is NOT going to take a drastic pay cut if he believes he can still cash in somewhere else.
I think it all comes down to what Condon tells Tomlinson his chances are on the open market. If he tells him, “You can still get a better deal,” LT turns down the Chargers. If he tells him, “This is as good as you’re going to do anywhere,” LT signs.
Brees talking up how much he’d like to see LaDainian in New Orleans may have been nothing but a ploy to make A.J. Smith think that LT still had plenty of options.
RE-SIGN LANCE MOORE!!!!
No chance
No LT, It’s Pierre’s show………..
You think you know, and you don't know, and you never, ever will know..Jim Mora Sr.
