Lance Moore Re-Signed!?!?!
Lance Moore was finally re-signed!?!?!
According to this Baton Rouge Advocate headline he was...
Saints re-sign Strief, Moore
But the article clearly states it was actually Strief and Leigh Torrence that were signed, not Lance Moore.
Saints General Manager Mickey Loomis confirmed Tuesday that backup tackle Zach Strief and reserve cornerback Leigh Torrence have signed their tender offers.
That leaves the Saints with two unsigned restricted free agents - starting right guard Jahri Evans and wide receiver Lance Moore
Jumping the gun a bit, aren't we? Oops. Maybe tomorrow!?

What a screw-up!
My question is why all the secrecy concerning other teams contacting Jahri or Lance?
Jerrold Colton, Evans’ New Jersey-based attorney and agent, would not comment Tuesday night when contacted by The Advocate on whether Evans has received interest from other teams and Dave Butz, Moore’s agent, did not respond to an e-mail.
I’ve got a bad feeling about these two guys.
Go Saints!!!! Deuce may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.

honestly, i love lance
but, if someone would give us the 2nd round pick for him (jets???) – I would take it. don’t forget, we do have colston, devery, arrington returning (i know he hasn’t played a game yet), meachem if he can do anything, etc. plus reggie coming out of the backfield, and don’t forget this saints offense made terrance copper, a great special teams player a serviceable offensive option. however, i do believe the loss of jahri would be devastating. i think this becomes more of a possibility if he’s not signed by the draft and we are not able to move down!! in the end, I don’t think it will happen, but i think there is a chance.

Got to keep Lance.
Henderson had one good season, Arrington value isn’t establish yet, Meachem is still strugling and Colston had a sub-par year when he played. I just don’t think it’s a good idea to let go our more consistent WR for the last 2 years.
SB minus just a D above average.

moore...
he’s got to be back. how does someone that’s the top leader in receiving yards for our team last season not come back? He’s not a #1 quality receiver but he is a top-tier #2 receiver. Devery…honestly I don’t trust him to hold onto the ball. Arrington may or may not be good. We don’t know b/c he hasn’t played yet. Meachem didn’t get much action but seemed pretty good when he did play. I’d rather have Lance over any of our other recievers besides Colston! Lance doesn’t drop the ball. Even if Drew Brees makes you awsome you still have to be able to get seperation, position your body to fight for the ball if you need to and hold onto the ball plus from when I saw him he was great at running after the catch. He was superb last season and it’s not all b/c of Drew Brees.
RE-SIGN LANCE MOORE TO A LONG-TERM DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Superbowl bound!!!...I hope? Go Saints! :D
