Lance Moore Injury more serious than thought?
Looks like Lance's injury may be more of an issue than previously thought...from our good friends at Rotoworld
Saints GM Mickey Loomis admitted Wednesday that he's unsure of Lance Moore's (shoulder surgery) status for training camp.
Loomis says Moore should be ready for Week 1, but hinted he may miss crucial summer work. Moore tore his left labrum and dislocated his shoulder while lifting weights this winter. It's a serious injury we'll monitor closely.

If the Saints' conditioning program screws up another season
…Home Depot will run out of rope sometime around mid-October.

From a welfare state to society murder
“Bring back the noose” is always heard
Whenever those swine are under attack
But it won’t make you even, it won’t bring him back
Let him dangle, let him dangle
String him up…

What does
this winter mean? This just came out, has he been hurt several months, is it rest and re-hab, surgery what, hate to not have him, The talk of the Jets making an offer just fizzled, if this news is true. Say it ain’t so, if it is and he’s out, AA better be on the field in ’09…

He did actually have a pretty devastating injury
If he really “tore” his labrum then it won’t totally heal for 8-12 weeks. The lack of information is concerning.

I haven't even had my first cup of coffee.
Not the news I was looking for.

I really like Moore
and want him back and recovered soon. But…..this could work to our advantage. I really don’t see our passing game suffering as long as Colston, Henderson, Shockey,Reggie, Pierre, Evans, AA, Meachem, Roby and our other TE’s stay healthy (or at least most of them)- there’s plenty to work with there and Brees will do just fine. And, the other silver lining is that it will put more pressure/emphasis on the running game early on ( and defense) - THAT IS A GOOD THING. We will be fine just the same- get well soon Lance…….

maybe he is being vague
to ward off any potential suitors for Moore. But if Moore is out, that makes our receiving unit pretty thin: Colston/Henderson/Meacham/Arrington/???

you forgot Shockey
rotoworld.com:
Jeremy Shockey-TE- Saints Apr. 23 – 1:42 am et
Saints GM Mickey Loomis says Jeremy Shockey is completely over his 2008 groin troubles and “anxious to have a great season.”
Shockey is going to come cheap in fantasy drafts. He didn’t score once, but caught 50 passes in his Saints debut. Shockey’s health is always an issue, but he could be an 80-catch player in 16 games of Sean Payton’s offense.
He HAS to have a big 2009. His ego won’t allow anything less. Which is why if things don’t go well, he may go Turley on everybody.

Thin?
Most NFL teams would kill to have a receiving corps that good.
And Arrington and Meachem both stand to have breakout seasons with Moore on the bench. This season is going to be epic.

I mean thin
Look at that list again when Colston or Devery can’t go with an ankle, hamstring, etc.
And wasn’t last year supposed to be Meacham’s breakout year? Still waiting with my fingers crossed. So is PayLoo

It was Moore's breakout year instead
Meachem didn’t play much because Moore was playing so well. Now, it’s Meachem’s chance. Maybe he can’t measure up, but I still think he can.
As for injuries…there’s still Green and Roby. Plus whoever gets cut in training camp, who might make a better third option than either of those two. If it comes to that, which it may not. Relax, it’s in the bag.

In my opinion
I think he did pretty well in showing he has some skills last year…i like his hands better than Devery’s…its his year to show what he can do if Lance isnt healthy enough…

Maclin?
Would the Saints draft Maclin if Moore’s injury looks bad? I’d hope not, but after picking Meachum last year it’s possible…

Maclin won’t get out of the top 10.

I fear that it IS serious. Imagine in early October, Lance is back on the field, catches a pass over the middle and gets nailed on his bad shoulder. He stays down for short time and then gets up and walks off the field with that arm hanging like a limp noodle. Can’t count on him for 2009.

Thin?
look at Arizonas receiving corps if Fitzgerald and Boldin turn an ankle? How about Indy if Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison get lymes disease. It’s like that everywhere and we are better than most- we have a lot of good receivers and a QB that turns a good receiver into a better one.
