Yeah, I'll miss him, although he hasn't really been a force for a few years...
I think of him like I think of Steve Gleason, unsung, “lunch-pail” guys who contributed much to the team but never got much fanfare.
Moment of silence…best of luck to you, Brian, and thanks for your service.
Malcolm Jenkins is gonna make Dave Waymer look like Lito Sheppard.

Hear hear
Makes me wish these guys read this site…so they’d know there are fans who appreciate them, and will remember them years from now.
That means you, Gleason. We’re going to remember you for a looooonnnnnng time.

Shoot, anybody who can’t still close their eyes and see that play on demand likely isn’t a true fan. That was an absolutely unforgettable moment. So was the entire game.

What's interesting
is that I just said “Gleason.” Nothing beyond that, and yet y’all understood exactly what I meant. It’s like saying “Gilliam” or “Dempsey.” Nothing more required.

Great moment
It seems that the greatest Saints moments are all special teams plays: Gleason blocking this punt, Dempsey kicking a 63-yard field goal, Gilliam returning the opening kickoff for a touchdown, Milne recovering Hakim’s fumble. What would be the greatest offensive moment of Saints history? Deuce running out the clock against Philadelphia? And what would be the greatest defensive moment?

I nominate Deuce moving the pile in the Philly playoff game.
Defensive moment….. one of JD’s picks last year?? jk

You mean that pile-driving TD?
That was good…but somehow I had forgotten it. Must be an unforgettable moment.
This would make an excellent thread.

I too would have to nominate the 2-minute-long run vs. Philly. We could also add several more nominees tho… Karney’s 3TDs vs Dallas… Bush’s really long TD vs Chicago… Any of half a hundred or so Brees Bombs… Moore’s stretch TD vs. GB last year (that was a highlight I watched and rewatched multiple times)… anybody else want to add a few others?
Best defensive play? It’ll probably have to happen this year…
Just kidding of course. Something from the dome patrol years no doubt, but what?

Definitely remember Karney’s 3TDs……was alot of angry Cowboys fans the next day…….couldn’t help but smile. (and of course, rub it in their face all day)
