Big Hole in the middle
Well it looks like they have officially released the big man...from Rotoworld and boy is he steamed (see what i did there??? Heh):
Saints released DT Hollis Thomas.
The move saves money, and Thomas doesn't have much left in tank at age 35, but the Saints are now hurting for depth inside. Rod Coleman is returning after a year away from football, but he wouldn't fill Thomas' situational run-stopper role. While last year's fifth-rounder DeMario Pressley has the size, his talent is questionable.

I see your post. ha ha
Nice pic! I always liked Hollis and I’m sad to see him go. I disagree with Rotoworld that the Saints “are now hurting for depth inside.” Really? Whoever wrote that doesn’t have much of a knowledge regarding the roster. Sure, in losing Hollis they lose a big run stuffer, but “hurting?” I don’t think so. Payton seems to be high on DeMario Pressley and we still have big Kendrick Clancy and Sedrick Ellis. Pay-Loo must like what they see in these guys more than what they expected to see from Hollis. Plus, they’re probably on the phones right now looking for free agents to bring in for depth at the position. “Hurting” is waaaaaay premature.
Go Saints!!!! Deuce may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.

What about Dorsey?
During the draft I heard reports of the Chiefs wanting to trade Dorsey b/c they switched to a 3-4 and he doesn’t fit. Should we consider trading for him and then pair him up with Ellis?

what would you have the Saints give up?
Do NOT say Jason David.
I think the Chiefs have decided to move Dorsey in 2009.
rotoworld.com:
Glenn Dorsey-DL- Chiefs Apr. 27 – 7:52 pm et
The Chiefs now plan to use Glenn Dorsey at defensive end in their new 3-4 alignment.
Dorsey played nose in pre-draft camps, but is slated to start opposite Tyson Jackson with Alex Magee and Alfonso Boone other options outside. Tank Tyler is the nose tackle. This defense still projects to be soft against the run.

2010 draft pick/s
i don’t think he projects well as a de. if he turns out to be as good as he was projected to be coming out of college than yes we should do what we need to do to get him. but i don’t know how much to give up for him. our d-line would be stacked for years. remember the jags had one of the best defenses for years b/c of their stud dt’s but soon as one left their defense became a little softer. also im just throwing it out there to see what everyone else thinks.

Ellis needs a Partner
And y’all laughed when I said we should look at getting a DT in the draft.
Getting Dorsey will be tough. They would like to move him, but the cap hit would be heavy. I think it would take more than just next years first. He’s not the Chiefs long term answer at DE, but he’ll do for another year. In a few years he’ll probably get traded.

People are tards sometimes
this draft was deep with DT’s and they were available at very reachable picks. F@#$ Beanie Wells! you waste all your time trying to get back into first for him HAHAHA!!!!!! What happened when you wanted the last Ohio State RB you trade up to get him then you cut him.

man, in that pic he looks like the guy in the Dr. Pepper college football ad from a few years ago
you know, the one where the big dude’s TD dance sends him up the goalpost…
I think that actor headlined the Miller High Life ads from this current football season (when he takes back the MHL from undeserving, pretentious beer drinkers).
Malcolm Jenkins is gonna make Dave Waymer look like Lito Sheppard.

I hope we are not going to be almost a good defensive line
Seems we have a bunch of guys that were almost top – level players but none that ever were….i.e. Spicer, Charleston, Clancy, Mc Cray, 3/4 season Grant, 3/4 season Smith, Ninkovich, etc. A lot is going to depend on Pressley, but I would really like to see some marquis player there on the DL like Abraham or Peppers, Hainesworth, or even the guy the Gianst have with the funny name. I think Sed will be good, but still would like a pro Bowl candidate in the mix.
