re: saint vick
i think its ridiculous that anyone is even thinking of giving vick another shot in the nfl. he used money that he earned playing in the nfl to fund a heinous, brutal and illegal activity, not only violating the nfls personal conduct rules, but also violating his responsibilty to the fans to live his life in a respectable manner, as like it or not, he was a role model for countless youth who looked up to him. he was lucky enough to make ALL that money playing a game..he should have concentrated on more productive, and legal ways to use his time and money. if in fact he does play again in the nfl..he should be required to donate a substantial portion of his yearly salary to an animal rescue charity.

What's more important
his dog-fighting “business” was essentially an illegal gambling ring that he operated while still a contracted player in a professional sports league. For that reason, I don’t think Goodell is going to reinstate him this year—and this is one of those rare times when I would support Goodell wholeheartedly.
As to the Vick-to-the-Saints rumors—this is nothing more than a bunch of lazy media types reporting not news, but only what some other media type has said. It means nothing. If the Saints signed Vick, Payton would have nightmares every night of Vick throwing a red-zone interception in a crucial game. Drew Brees is the last person you’d want to take out of the game for any reason whatsoever.
Come home, Stuart...
