So, Shockey can't make the OTA, but he can party himself into oblivion?
The only missing veteran players were tight end Jeremy Shockey and recently signed safety Darren Sharper who both had family matters they had to handle.

“I talked to both players and we’ll get them both back here ASAP,” Payton said.

Family matters. Right. Well, that does it for me. Until he does something to win back my confidence, I’m officially off the Jeremy Shockey bandwagon. He’s been a waste of a roster spot, a salary, and two draft choices.

Come home, Stuart...

I actually go to New Orleans for the weekend

and all hell breaks loose? First StarCapGate, then more of Jeremy Shockey’s Excellent Adventure Geez, this script is sounding more and more like the second coming of Jim Haslett.

At least if we were to cut Shockey now, we wouldn’t have to worry about replacing all of those TDs he scored for us last year. (zero).

Yes, I know we cant cut him. But now I have another reason to shout “Miller Time” at the games in reference to the TE position.

Once upon a time..

-“Hey coach!”
-“What’s up, 88”
-“As much as I’d like to be with you guys I have that family thing I got to take care of.”
-“…………”
-" I know, I could use some time with Drew but since it’s an optionnal workout and I had plenty of time to learn the playbook last year I don’t think my absence will make a difference on what will be my guaranteed best year ever."
-“………”
-“Being a family man yourself I’m sure you understand”.
-“Guess you gotta do what you gotta do….”
-"Thanks coach! "

Get rid of the bum! Shockey is and always has been a distraction to his team (ask the Giants). Is anybody doubting this is only the next episode of Shockey’s Shocking Shockers? Do we really want to stay tune? I guarantee it won’t get any better because he’ll always put himself first thinking he’s one of the best at his spot. At least Matt Hasselbeck had the decency to take it like a man when he understood he wasn’t as good as he thought….

What? Dehydration under a tough Vegas afternoon could hit on anybody? Other partiers on Dave’s pics sure didn’t look like they had trouble with the temperature. Guess they aren’t well oiled but fragile NFL’s machines…

As for the bandwagon jumpers, I could really use a contribution to rent more buses cause I rented only one after that trade…All aboard!!!

Hey Stu, how convenient not to be around anymore so you don’t have to make an impossible case for him…

Come on buddy, fight!

Just get the D going!

i'd like to see shockey pan out

i don’t think we should cut him just yet. let’s see how the offseason unfolds before we start dumping players.
