New Orleans Saints Rookie Stanley Arnoux Expected to Miss Entire Season with Torn Achilles Tendon

Well here we go again. Can´t we make it at least into training camp before we loose our draft picks to injuries?

The Saints just confirmed that fourth-round draft pick Stanley Arnoux ruptured his left Achilles tendon during the first practice of rookie minicamp Friday morning. He is expected to miss the entire 2009 season, according to a league source, but the Saints said they won't announce a recovery timetable until a later date.

Arnoux will have surgery at some point next week.

The rookie outside linebacker from Wake Forest apparently suffered the injury while running toward the ball during the practice, which was held outdoors on a natural grass surface.

Word

The kid didn’t come correct. It’s unfortunate, but the train can’t stop.

How does this affect the discussions surroundng Casillas then?

AAAAAAAARRRRRGGGHHHHH!!!!!

Please tell me this is an isolated incident, not the start of a trend. We never did get a starting WLB, and now our draft prosepct for that spot is gone.

Wow now how does that punter sound?

I am going to find my post discussing the 2009 season player shuffle and results of because I don’t say this exactly but it appears to be even more accurate now

Well next year will be a defensive draft as well

We need I would say
Picks:
1st: DT
2nd: OLB
3rd: C
4th: OLB
5th: gone
6th: WR Moore probably will go because we won’t want to pay up if he has another big season
7th: OL any developmental player

Correct me if I'm wrong, but

we’re not even in any way committed to Arnoux, are we? I mean, has he signed a contract yet? If not, might the Saints just cut him loose?!

Ya it's really upsetting since he's supposed to have lots of upside..

But there’s a pretty young OLB on the market and he was just cut by the rams. He was their leading tackler and I still can’t spell his name, but pleaseeeeeeeeeee Loomis, look into him, PLEASE
