"I left Arkansas at 18 years old and went to Louisiana Tech where I played for four years. I was the first player from a Louisiana college to be drafted by the Saints in the first round and was fortunate enough to play most of my NFL career in New Orleans. Last year, I couldn't ask for a better honor than to go into the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame, and now this. I've been blessed.
"Hopefully, I'll become the first player drafted by the Saints to make it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame."

Is that all?
Until I clicked on the link, I thought “and now this” referred to being chosen the starting left tackle for the Canal Street Chronicles All-Stars.
This is OUR year!
Former Saints with a legitimate shot at Canton
Willie Roaf
Rickey Jackson
Morten Andersen
Eric Allen
Ken Stabler
Pat Swilling
Conrad Dobler
Sam Mills
… and that’s about where I’d have to draw the line. Allen, Stabler, Dobler and Mills weren’t drafted by the Saints and none of them played their entire careers here.
I'd say
not only is that a good list, but it’s in order of likelihood. The only wild card being Mills, who was such a great story.
This is OUR year!
yeah
that’s what I was shooting for. I’ll go out on a limb and say La’Roi Glover has an outside shot, too. It would take a long while, though. There’s bound to still be a considerable number of DTs with similiarly successful careers not yet inducted, even once his five year waiting period has past.
Mills truly deserves to be in Canton. I just hope I live long enough to see that happen.
