CSC All-Time Saints Team Election: Fullback

It's time now to vote for another member to be elected to our CSC All-Time Saints team. If you missed our center nomination post yesterday you can catch it right here. We received some other great nominations.

I have decided to include Lorenzo Neal, Tony Galbreath, Terelle Smith, Mike Karney, Jim Taylor and Hokie Gajan in the voting so there is plenty to choose from. The polls will be open for exactly 48 hours which means they will close at 6am on Friday, June 26th. You only get one vote so make it count. You can make a difference. If you've never voted in a CSC poll to date, now is the perfect time to start. Be sure to tell everyone you know to come on over and vote as well.

As always, the comment section is open for more discussion about these great players and the way things used to be.

I hate Mora

for not running Heyward out of a single back set more often. They tried to turn him into something he wasn’t. I mean, just look at what he did at Pittsburgh as a featured back in the I. He could have been our Christian Okoye, had he been utilized properly. Instead, he was constantly being scrutinized and disciplined over his weight. Nitpicking BS, which seldom seemed to be a problem on the field in hindsight. Kind of reminds me of another HC-RB combo I know, constantly trying to shave the corners off that square peg, in order to fit the round hole. As Denis Leary so eloquently stated, it’s time to wake up and smell the Maple Nut Crunch. If you’ve got something special, don’t eff with it. Just geaux with it.

I’m suprised by the amount of vote distribution in this one. and no one has gone with ol Buford….what a shame

Agreed

very surprised, understand that he should be on the list, but all those other guys were better, Iron Head would trip over his own shoelaces…

You think you know, and you don't know, and you never, ever will know..Jim Mora Sr.

Nice to see

a pre-90s player kinda-sorta hanging tough, NKOTB reference unintended.

Fess up

You probably had a NKOTB poster on your wall… woke up daily singing “Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Listen up everybody if you wanna take a chance. Just get on the floor and do the New Kids’ dance”

you got me

But the poster was 100% Saints inspired, see?
(Buford) Jordan + (Shawn) Knight = Jordan Knight.
That’s how they tricked me into being a groupie.

Hopefully...

Or it could be that you thought “wow these guys are so tough they are singing about Hanging Tough”…then got this poster…

Can you imagine these guys as an offensive line…impenetrable…well at least from the front…

Nothing says tough guy...

Like a black bandana and the skull and crossbones on your hoodie sleeve…oh and the sneer…toughness overload…

I wonder how many cans

of Aqua Net factored into the creation of these sleek hairdon’ts. You would think at some point the aerodynamic advantage such styles lend would be nullified by the sheer follicle density of the altering agent. An exocranial equilibrium, if you will.

unintended

but thoroughly appreciated.

Yet another dimension to the coldpizza enigma. A Saints/football info glossary, a chemistry and aerodynamic philosopher, a New Kids fan. In short, a true Renaissance Man.

You know, I came to this thread looking for info on who to select for all-time CSC fullback..

and now I’m OD’ing on late 80’s early 90’s BOY BAND nostalgia.

I do LOVE the CHRONIC. Thanks, everyone!
