"(Williams) is high intensity," says Porter. "We'll run a variety of things. We could run as many as 26 different personnel packages this season. "Comparatively, the 2008 defense had about 12 different packages."

Porter
sounds like a clever, professional guy. I find that incredibly refreshing. I hope he and Jenkins can really be the cb’s of the future. He really sounded like a bright guy, who appreciates the study of football as well as the action. Maybe he will be one of these guys who will shift to fs later on in his career and grow into a “defensive qb”. Damn, I’m counting my chickens already. Still nice to imagine we’ve got brains at work in the backfield.

I like Porter
Louisiana product who is talented and serious about winning. That’s pretty much all we need. Makes me like Port Allen for more than the donuts place… ;)

I agree. Let’s start by replacing Sean Payton with Otis Smith.

Otis! My man!
Oops, wrong Otis.
Why not Otis Campbell? Carre Otis?
This is OUR year!

Our best bet is if
this Otis can make bail in time for camp:

Do you know what it means...

please!!
i hope that this defense does something to merit a $50,000 fine every other week. go helmet to helmet and give out a couple of concussions. its time to start playing nasty so that no one will ever call us a finesse team again.

Whoa
If we turn into a cheap shot, Steelers (but I repeat myself) defense I’ll start watching college softball exclusively.

a dirty defense is something i don’t want. a tough, physical defense is what i do want. i’d rather lose than play dirty. idk if i could keep watching them play if it was like that. if it’s illegal on defense, don’t do it but if you can give out a huge hit then go ahead.
Superbowl bound!!!...I hope? Go Saints! :D

I don't care if they use guns
I just want a Super Bowl championship. Oh, and the guns must be at least .44 caliber.

dirty
im not asking for the saints to intentionally target people, but watch a steelers ravens game from last year. when you play that physical things happen. go back and look at the defensive game plan when we had the dome patrol, do you know how many times we knocked out the other teams qb?
answer: i dont know, but it happened a lot.
i for one would like to have a nasty def to complement or incredible off.

Does anyone recall
Will Smith grinding his knee into the opposing QB’s ear hole, either early last year or the season prior? I wish I could remember who the other player was. Seriously flagrant foul, though. Probably the worst I’ve seen from a Saints player since the Turley incident.
