Barnes was signed last season when Mike Karney sprained an MCL. He was expendable after the team signed Heath Evans earlier this offseason.

when players are cut like this...

where are they? Are they working out in nola? Or are they some place else? I always wonder this. Like, the way the headline goes, it sounds as though he knew for months. But I’m guessing that the guy was showing up to the training facility to workout and was surprised by this news. What’s the story?
