A few words from Bob Sanders for Saints and Saints fans

"Attitude.  It starts with attitude.  Everything.  If you KNOW you can do it, and you BELIEVE... that you can do it, it can happen.  Finish finish finish.  Don't give up.  Never quit."

Star-divide

If you have the NFL Network (Charter Cable GA!), you've seen these Live United commercials a million times.  I like the Bob Sanders version because I identify with it.  (Drew Brees' version was ok but not inspiring.)  The Saints can win a Super Bowl.  They don't have to win every regular season game or have the highest power ranking (or play in the biggest market, Peter King).  Win enough to reach the playoffs and play well enough to win out.  2007 New York Giants, 2008 Arizona Cardinals (almost, very close).  My 2008 fantasy team at the office (hovered around .500, warmed up at the end, stumbled through the playoffs, won a close championship matchup).  It can happen.  That's my 2009 theme from Bob Sanders.  IT CAN HAPPEN.

That's exactly the kind of thing we have going

and why I love this mediocrity, and not previous mediocrity.

Very True

They have to keep the focus on the big picture. I think some teams truly don’t believe they are worthy of thinking about being in a Super Bowl in any given year (such as for example Detroit or San Francisco lately) but, I think our Saints should think about it- not talk about it, but in their minds know they can play with any team and that they will have some setbacks but are capable of getting to the big dance and winning it all. They have reached that level and a lot of it is mental from here in.
