The judge had to block the suspensions, because the lawsuit claiming the suspensions violate Minnesota state law has merit. But Smith and Grant have nothing to do with that lawsuit, and Louisiana state law isn’t the same as Minnesota’s. S&G haven’t got a chance…but long-term, this case has got to alter the NFL’s drug policy. Otherwise, after the Williams’ win, Minnesota Vikings can thumb their nose at the league with impunity.
