Simoneau Out for Several Weeks
Saints LB Mark Simoneau will be out for at least several weeks after tearing his triceps in Saturday's scrimmage.
Simoneau was scheduled to undergo surgery Tuesday. It's unclear if he'll be placed on injured reserve right now. Simoneau was the team's top backup at both middle linebacker and weakside linebacker. He'll likely be replaced by Marvin Mitchell.

This guy stays hurt. Can we please just cut all of our LBs aside from Vilma and start fresh? From top to bottom, it has to be the biggest group of underachievers I’ve ever seen assembled on one Saints team. I would quite honestly rather have Ditka’s mishmash crew of Mark Fields, Keith Mitchell, Kevin Mitchell, Chris Bordano and Ink Aleaga, than the garbage we have posing for a LB corps today. At least those guys knew how to get after the QB.
