As much as he misses playing in the NFL, though, McAllister admitted that he hasn't been longing for the training camp experience. "I don't miss that at all," McAllister said. "I still talk to some of the guys and I wish them all the luck in the world. I know what they're going through."
McAllister also spent a couple weeks working out at his alma mater in Oxford, Miss., this summer. And Monday, he was back in Jackson, Miss., for a ground-breaking ceremony introducing the new restaurant and entertainment center, Mac & Bones, that he is opening along with NBA star Tracy McGrady.
McAllister and McGrady have known each other for about three years, he said, through a mutual friend and business partner. The sports-themed restaurant and miniature golf course are scheduled to open in October

You know what would be cool?
To try to find out when Deuce is going to be at his restaurant and organize a mass surprise visit by a slew of Saints fans dressed in #26 jerseys. Like maybe talk to a shift manager or something and arrange the time and date. Jackson’s about a three hour drive, but I’d love to be a part of something like that, just to show appreciation for good memories he’s given me.
