Canal Street Chronicles Reaches 1,000 Members!!!

1000_medium

Just wanted to share a milestone with all of you. Yesterday, Canal Street Chronicles had its 1,000th member sign up and create an account. It has taken about a year and four months to get to this point but I've got to admit it has come much faster than I ever thought possible. Actually, I never thought it was possible at all. Thanks to all of you out there who read and participate on a regular basis, you make this all possible. I wouldn't do any of this if it wasn't for you. I look forward to the upcoming season and another 1,000 members.

Saintsational - You Have Earned a Big Fleur-de-Lis Sticker

Saintsational — a toast of MD 20/20 to you. Thanks for making CSC the best quality site possible for all things Saints. Over the last 16 months, the CSC members you have selected to both contribute and monitor the site shows you have a skill to surround yourself with good people.

CSC has grown with class. High-quality, informative, entertaining posts are the standard. You and your “well-paid” staff have managed to ensure the site has not strayed into the arena of personal attacks and crazy agendas. Very Impressive.

Again, thanks for making CSC a Saints site that gets better with time — like a high quality Cabernet or Bordeaux.

agreed

I wouldn’t come here if it wasn’t for Dave. That’s why people come. Dave has a great article every day of the week. We, as the comunity, just respond and make a few posts here and there.

Superbowl bound!!!...I hope? Go Saints! :D

Do they have to be GOOD posts?

wow, Dempsey

you mention MD 20/20 AND classy Cabernet and Bourdeaux in the same comment. NICE

Dave deserves a big pat on the back, and all of us who participate and contribute deserve some love, too. It is a true grass-roots, community organized effort that benefits us all the more we work on it and at it.

I look forward to a rosy and sweet future…(let’s chug some Wild Irish Rose and malt liquor for Saturday’s game).

YUCK!!

I just gagged a little bit just reading “MD 20/20” LOL! But on a serious note, I’m glad to have joined here. I’d been reading this site for a while before I joined and always enjoyed the posts. Very informative and entertaining. And that’s what it’s all about.

good job

I like to post this pic whenever possible. Nice work, Dave. Quite an accomplishment, particularly when you consider that there is no porn involved.

I figured it was a movie scene or something. Was she the barkeeper you hired or was she just goofing off?

um, you mean for real, or in my mind?

I don’t even remember who I argued with first. MT or M-E probably. Grouchy old men.

I joined July 31 of last year - Just had my 1-year anniversary a few weeks back

After reading the site for a few days on the rec of my uncle, and my first post was a summary of what I observed in the Saints-Cardinals preseason game. The rest is history…

I think it was MT

he was mad when he first got here, or at least came off that way. I didn’t realize we were all so close signing up. then I remember MT and ME back and forthing a bit.

I'm a newbie

but I am SO glad to have found this “community”. Its my start up page on my iPhone so I can get my Saints info fast. I’m probably the only WhoDat in Ohio so I can’t really bs about my team. Thanx.

BTW : Dempsey- you happen to be related to Tom or is that just a screen name?

by WhoDat_OH on Aug 21, 2009 5:51 AM CDT via mobile reply actions

You aren’t alone. But you are one of a select few.

That’s cool. He’s one of my earliest memories when I first started following da Saints. Before I became a dedicated fan. He and Billy Kilmer and Jim Taylor.

Yeah

it’d be nice if there was an actual app, but the mobile format is sweet. I’m here only as of this offseason, but I look forward to having this site on my iPhone for gamedays.

I have a feeling

with the direction that SB Nation is heading, there will be an app soon enough.

Yep. Just cause I’m on the road doesn’t mean I don’t wanna get the latest info. This site is great !!

by WhoDat_OH on Aug 21, 2009 11:06 AM CDT via mobile up reply actions

Actually, you can set a shortcut on the home screen and a nice icon appears. A tan backround with a red star. But why no fleur-de-lis?

by WhoDat_OH on Aug 21, 2009 11:11 AM CDT via mobile up reply actions

The red star

is something we came up with while potty training Saintsational. He seems to have responded very well to it. No more stanky yellow puddles. When you see a gold fleur-de-lis, he will have graduated to big boy underwear! The kind with the wee-wee flap. Pretty exciting stuff. Stay tuned and be sure to give Dave a high five, next time you see him.
